Talking “poorly” about LA is a great way to start the week :)

This one hurts. I recall being excited when he originally committed because Oregon was finally starting to get monsters on the DLine. He’s 6’5” and weighs 325 pounds. My last wish for Oregon is to have a DLine resembling an SEC DLine. Hoping more monsters are coming.

I already have doubts about the B1G. They don't know how to spell Oregon (see YouTube video title)

I've found a new "Mari Cristbal" for which I will root for failure. Listen to this guy . . .
-
I haven't followed closely. Did they really pocket $200M between the two schools!!??

Totally forgot Stanford and would prefer them to UCLA, also. But, I still stand by my Beavers/Cougs comment. Say what you will about OSU and WSU (I know there are strong feelings), but they at least seem to care more about football than UCLA does.

This was painful to watch. I'd rather we swap UCLA out for Oregon State and Washington St. At least there'd be a LOT more excitement, LOL

Beautiful . . . Love the "O"

@Darren Perkins - Great article I liked how you qualified one of your takes because it was an impression you had as a kid. I'll use that same paradigm for my Mt. Rushmore (i.e., coaches/players that left the most significant impression on me from when I started watching until now). I did not consistently watch the Ducks until the Joey Harrington era. Mt. Rushmore - Coach - Chip Kelly: Ushered in the most exciting brand of football I have ever seen (both past and present), and formally put Oregon on the national map. I remember not wanting to take a 30-second bathroom break for fear of missing a touchdown. Mt. Rushmore - Players - Joey Harrington: The big NYC Heisman poster, and the demolition of Colorado in the Bowl Game were the indelible images that hooked me on the Ducks as a young whippersnapper. - Nick Reed: The DE with long gray sleeves and a relentless motor to match his blue-collar look. - LaMichael James: The most exciting player in the nation. One-cut-and-gone track speed with vision, and hard to take down. I'll never forget the 70+ yard run against Tennessee that launched the Ducks to the National Championship appearance. - Marcus Mariota: Heisman trophy winner and best thing to ever happen to an offense that thrived on dual-threat QBs. Honorable Mentions - Jeff Maehl: Made incredible clutch catches during the national championship season run. - De'Anthony Thomas: Hard to leave him off, but I can't remove LaMichael James. One word for DAT . . . ELECTRIC - Justin Herbert: Could have been the Oregon GOAT but for the offense-strangling HC, Mari Cristbal. - Dan Lanning: I imagine he will eventually be THE Oregon coach in time. - Kayvon Thibodeaux: One-man wrecking crew that, when healthy, covered up a lot of Mari Cristbal-induced offensive woes. - Michael Clay: He never seemed to miss a tackle. - John Boyett: What a hammer coming from the backfield. - Brent Musburger / Kirk Herbstreit: **This is from left field, but those two voices from that Chip Kelly era bring a sense of nostalgia that will never be extinguished. Oh! What Might Have Been - Cliff Harris: What an incredible athlete with speed and instincts . . . but sadly oft' distracted. - Colt Lyerla: One of the most athletic TEs I've ever seen. If only he put everything into football. Sorry for taking this much further than a simple Mt. Rushmore list, but the trip down memory lane was worth it.

The "O" is my favorite logo in all of sports. My profile pic gives away my favorite helmet. I love the "O" helmets . . . this is awesome!

There was no chance for the Ducks in the big, stinky shoe, but no way the Ducks can do it again in the friendly confines of Autzen, right?

There’s no way the Ducks could win, right? Photos: Ohio State Buckeyes fall to Oregon, 35-28 WWW.DISPATCH.COM The Ohio State Buckeyes fell to the Oregon Ducks during their home opener, their first loss at Ohio...

Oregon's Recruiting Success: "...the Quiet Part Out Loud."
cartm25 replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Speaking for myself, I was disillusioned with the John Canzano / Dennis Dodd reporting during the P12 media rights / survivability discussion. Needless to say, I will no longer automatically accept or dismiss any reporting or sources. Regarding Oregon / NIL / Money / Phil Knight / Nike / Recruiting / Dan Lanning, I think of it in the following equation: Money (PK, Nike) + Resources + B1G + Dan Lanning = Oregon is a POWERHOUSE program Money (PK, Nike) + Resources + B1G + Dan Lanning = Oregon is a STRONG NATIONAL program Money (PK, Nike) + Resources + B1G + Dan Lanning = Oregon is a NATIONAL program with brand recognition **IF** you take Money (PK, Nike) out of any equation above = Oregon is a WITHERING program . . . ANY program is a WITHERING program without money. Please do not misunderstand my statement above. It's not about "PK / Nike", but a comment about MONEY. No program can be a consistent, viable, elite-tier program without MONEY. **BUT** you also can't be a POWERHOUSE program without the right allocation/mix of Money, Resources, Conference Affiliation, and Coach/Staff. ALL of the factors working together synergistically produce a product/program that's greater than the sum of its parts. Here are the things about the Oregon Ducks Football program that make me ECSTATIC: - MONEY, and lots of it . . . Thank you Phil Knight and Nike for EVERYTHING!! - Exceptional resources allocated efficiently and effectively - Being part of the B1G - Being a forward-thinking, innovative program that takes big swings - Dan Lanning !!!!!! He recognized that the Ducks had everything needed to be successful. He's passionate, relentless, loyal, fiercely competitive, and only wants the best for the Oregon Ducks To the simpleton UW fans that say, "You only win because of Uncle Phil and Nike." . . . I say "Yeah, we got it all. What's your point?" -
Patent office when asked why the denial: “Let’s see here (checks notes), ah yes, already owned by Jim Harbaugh.”

Can someone explain the antitrust piece to me? “selling its package of Sunday games at an inflated price.” Seems like it’s a price people are willing to pay, no? 2.4 million subscribers willingly paid for it. Were they forced to buy the product? It all seems a bit curious. I have a hard time feeling sorry for 2.4 million people who consented to pay for—without coercion—such a luxury, non-essential product.

I’m disappointed with the return of the diamond plate. They said that was to represent “standing on the shoulders of greats from the past.” In that case, I’d recommend moving the diamond plate design to the bottom of the cleats. Other than that, I LOVE the all black with the green outlines.
