Sewel hasn’t been well for several games. The way he hits people this is not a surprise. He could have a concussion on top of it. Nobody on the team hits as hard as he does.

Here we go again. You can defend Oregon when they get a lead within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. Is this Moorhead or MC.

I’m ok with tough but only if you score lots of points. Until MC puts a Qb in his lineup that can make the correct decision and also come within 2 yards of his target on 86% of his passes then they will struggle to win any game.

Not worried about the program but I am concerned about decision making. Play calling has been a little better until the Utah game destroyed that improvement. I was encouraged with our line play on both sides of the ball until the Utah game. AB seemed to improve a little till the Utah game. They players seemed to be playing hard till the Utah game. Thank god we are not playing Utah tomorrow. Lets see see how we feel tomorrow about 4:30pm. I think the Ducks will win the game and maybe we will get to see what we all want to see. This is vintage Mariota and something that AB has proven over and over that he has a difficult time at making the the correct read while running or passing.

Let’s also coach smarter. Kind of off topic but why does this team look so worn down? Do they train to hard at the beginning of the season and in practice or is it the types of players we are recruiting. This team has a lot of speed but they look slower than the competition for sure.

Playing behind the sticks is a near impossible task when your QB can’t make accurate throws.

I for one think MC will come around and hire some young enthusiastic coordinators to light a fire under these players. So far the biggest drawback is his coaching staffs inability to make QBs better than they were. Herbert was a total disaster considering the potential that kid had. Tyler had absolutely no confidence an AB has very little passing ability and hasn’t got any better, he might not be a top 10 QB in the pack 12. Without a quality athlete that can deliver the ball on time and accurately while running when needed we will never win a national championship this day and age. Lets keep MC and fix the other problems before we get rid of the best recruiter on the west coast.

If you look at our injury problems it may have something to do with each players history. Verdell has been plagued with injuries the whole time at Oregon. Red’s been nicked up several times and look at our luck with tight ends. I know that Funa and Flowe both had injury problems in high school. The offensive line has been shuffled most of the season. There are probably more but the point is maybe we are picking the wrong guys to play tough in MC’s culture. Sure seems like we have more than our share. Hard to get a rhythm when your starters are out of the lineup. Time to move on and beat the Beavs with the players we have left. But to do so we need to be ready to play from the first snap to the last or we will be looking at The Who wants to be here Bowl.

The frustrating part is we all know this team is loaded with athletes and the coaching staff has a difficult time utilizing their talents. This team seems like they sleepwalk thru the first qtr of every game and this time it cost them any chance to win. Very depressing for sure. Hopefully we can rebound and beat the beavers next week. However after what I saw last night my confidence level is very low.

I for one don’t see any passion in his play like I do with the good college QBs around the country.

In my opinion it is a decision the player makes when he is recruited by any university that he give 100% to the college and the team. The University spends a large amount on each player through scholarships and facilities that each student athlete can take advantage of. Any player that quits on a team, especially late in the season is the type of person that will do so again. MC is reportedly a players coach and I think he goes out of his way to be so. Disrespecting a coach is a sign of weakness and these kinds of players usually bomb out at whatever level they are playing. There are no participation trophies at this level. Finish what you start or move on because cancer is not what this team needs. The bad apples always fall from the tree first.

This will not help the recruiting efforts what so ever.

Oregon State might be favored next week. They did beat these guys and they have a better coach.

Guess we don’t have a hurry up offense.
