  1. I love this statement by Malchow: "I bought my first house in Eugene... Hopefully, we can stop bouncing around and establish some roots," I really think much of this staff considers this long term! Great news!!
  2. Not overly impressive now. But, I trust the coaches see something in him. His stock will likely be much higher at the end of his senior (hs) season.
  3. Being that the article was written by a UO graduate... I'll take it with a grain of salt. But, I love me some salt!
  4. Yes, USC has some great skill players. But, their OL is VERY suspect. This isn't 7 man football.
  5. I agree that DeBoer is a great coach and I think he could possibly turn that mess up north around in 3-4 years. The good news for us Duck fans is the delusional alum/fan base probably will not give him that much time. I really hope I'm wrong as I miss getting excited for a good UO/UW game.
  6. First injury of the year... I just separated my should running through the wall of my office! Go Ducks!!!
  7. I'm requesting a scoreboard shot if the Ducks pull off the win!
  8. Versatile. I foresee this team being able to adjust during a game when needed.
  9. I feel... If they are at a school sanctioned event, fully clothed in team gear, they are part of Oregon athletics. They should be supported, recognized, and treated just like any other athlete.
  10. I love to her this: “Well first, the pillars and our DNA traits. Connection. Coach Lanning emphasizes that connection is really important because if you have no connection, there’s no rhythm or there’s no… you can’t really play with one another if you don’t have that connection. Lanning wants a team... not a bunch of talented individuals.
  11. 99 from the middle! Reminds me of a young DeForest Buckner! and yes, I know DeFo was #44 at UO.
  12. I'm not buying into any hype. But, I'm confident that between Bo, Ty, and Butters.... Our QB play will be far better than anything AB did. As long as this proves we'll be just fine.
  13. I loved that he pointed out a couple facts that have to jab USC a bit. 1) Only 1 of 9 teams to have played for a NC in the last 12 years... and did so twice. 2) Top ten in TV viewership. #1 in the Pac12.
  14. I tend to believe the last sentence of the article. "With Dante Moore in the fold, though, the Ducks should feel confident that they can keep their elite pass-catcher, though."
  15. 10-2 feels about right. A loss to UG and one of the Utah schools. All close games.
  16. Thanks to all the administrators/editors/and writers. Your hard work is what makes this site so incredible. We ALL appreciate it very much. DNC another great article of one of our many talented young men. Hoping Bennett can compete for the whole season and show us just how great he is. This defense will own the PAC.
  17. Ever since his National Signing Day interview I have been VERY interested and excited about Coach Dilly. Thank you DazedNconfused for all this background info about him. I knew some of it. But, I too, am surprised as to how many limbs are on his coaching tree. I am really trying not to become overly optimistic about this season. I know realistically it will take 2-3 years for this team will peak. But, something about this whole staff feels special.
  18. I just lost another 10 IQ points just by reading that article. I don't have many left.
  19. 1) Agreed! 2) Agreed!!! 3) They got most of what they deserved!! They blatantly cheated. Accept the discipline and learn. Stop whining you spoiled children.
  20. Darren, Really enjoyed your article and I agree that USC will be much more competitive in a few years. I will have to hold off from anointing them part of "The Big 2". That feels like quite the stretch from anything they have shown this century. I foresee them being very, very similar to Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin. They will have their good years here and there. But, nothing close to the consistency that OSU does. Here are a few reasons why: 1) USC is located in LA where it is very difficult to keep 18-24 year old's focused on one task. Far too many distractions. 2) USC fans. They love to hype things up. These kids feel they are the greatest before ever hitting the field. Work ethic will always be an issue for them. 3) USC boosters have ZERO patience. 9-3 will never be good enough. Lincoln Riley will not last more than 4-5 years. Now, on a personal level. I hope USC never even gets that 9-3 record. But, realistically I believe they will always be in the 8-4 to 9-3 range.
  21. They must bring additional value or your just getting a smaller piece of the pie.
