  1. Three solid choices Charles! I'll raise my glass as I enjoy my Old 99 Half Hazzard mask free.
  2. This sums up my thoughts very well. Coach Lanning understands the growth this team needs to make. He feels he can get them there eventually. But, it will take quite awhile to get everything ironed out and gelled together. This years schedule is brutal. Patience for players and fans will be a must.
  3. After reviewing a list of current bowl games (to me) there are maybe 8-10 bowl games that mean anything. I feel it makes since to create an expanded playoff using these bowls on dates in Dec. that currently are not used in CFB. The rest of the bowls can be used, as the linked article stated, as some sort of NIT tournament. But, there are so many hands in the pot I do not feel it will ever happen under the current conference/bowl ties. It likely will take some sort of complete refresh of CFB in order for this an expanded playoff. Something like... Two super conferences comprised of two divisions each.... Maybe we could call the league Minor League Football and the championship could be called the Mega Bowl!
  4. My thoughts exactly! AB was great at dumping the ball off to his RBs as they slid out of the backfield. But, not so great at anything past the LOS.
  5. I saw the same thing and 100% agree. Mario/Mastro taught to "trust the gap". I'm so looking forward to "find the gap" coaching. The Pistol can work fine if the RBs are taught to keep their eyes on a swivel. I'm pretty sure Mastro told them to close their eyes and pray for Mario's OL to do their job.
  6. This would be HUGE!! Would love to see both brothers at UO.
  7. Thanks you for the well written and informative article. 80 plays is a great goal. But, I just want to see sustained effort and exciting football. I'm very optimistic this coaching staff will succeed in putting this on the field. If that ends up with 80 plays... all the better!
  8. Also, Riley flat out lied to media and recruits the previous day....... Much like Willie Taggart did on his departure.. Mario may have avoided answering questions. But, he did not lie. Huge difference.
  9. Have to say I believe Riley was far dirty to OU than Mario was to UO.
  10. 100% agree with this. I also found it hilarious when one of the Duck coach said "We are not building a 7 on 7 team" when discussing recruiting day commits. That was a great dig on USC.
  11. I sat next to a Utah fan in 2009 when they visited Autzen. Utah was on a 16 game winning streak and he was VERY cocky. Typical small school syndrome going on. Utah would easily win the Pac10, BCS is overrated, we lost to Boise, Rice-Eccles is louder than Autzen...etc.. Oregon lead by 14 at half. Utah made headway in the 3rd and he started getting unbearable. The 4th came and Autzen got LOUD!!! Ducks put it away. After the game. He apologized, thanked me for not killing him, and admitted that was the LOUDEST stadium he had ever been in. Ute's may act like they hate UO... But deep down its just passion for their team.
  12. Keep it up Charles. There are many other forums for them to word things to their "MO". I have tried a few other forums myself and I always end up back here. Thank you for providing and protecting this forum.
  13. Agreed. Many watch games in sports bars or pubs. Games must be televised in order for this demographic to be reached. A streaming only package really limits the reach.
  14. Thankfully, Levitt is no longer here. Something tells me this defensive staff is two or three steps ahead of where Levitt ever was!.... Oh, and I liked Levitt,
  15. My thoughts exactly. Luckily it said "business and engineering". Let's hope he is leaning towards business! Either way it is great to see a kid who truly prioritizes education.
  16. I'll admit I have watched this video twice. I was so enthralled by this staff that I had to watch it again. All of these coaches exude passion, are highly intelligent, and have great communication skills. They are REAL coaches! Only problem I foresee will be holding onto them. Kenny Dillingham will be a head coach somewhere VERY soon. Hopefully not in the Pac 12 footprint. But, with his ties to, and the trouble at, ASU. They have to have him on their shortlist. Mullens needs to be prepared to keep this group together at the first signs of on field success. Go Ducks!
  17. This is HUGE!!!! Way to end the day! Go Ducks!!!
  18. I can not wait to see that name on the on the back of of Oregon jersey again!
  19. Could help with player/coach communication. He knows coach Tui's terminology.
  20. Mastro was told to coach his RBs to trust the (supposed) gap. In the past Campbell taught his RBs to find the gap. I think we all have seen which method works better. So glad Locklyn is looking to Campbell for input.
  21. Thank you for clearing that up. Seemed odd he was not listed. Now it makes some since.
  22. The Greatest is missing from the list! Where is LaMike at?
  23. I'm sure Robert Griffin III can make lots of things rhyme with Dan. We should ask him for help. He loves one syllable words.
  24. Were you REALLY expecting they would? The Pac is weak!
