  1. Great piece by Jon Wilner in his hotline, probably a pay site. He talks about partnerships in Media rights (which Amazon could re-sell pieces to espn, fox, etc); travel; merchandising; ticket brokering; food service; on and on. Good read.
  2. Also, Dodd is a CBS guy who just happens to work for the company that secured BIG rights. Might him blowing smoke try to influence 1) UC regents in that hey, let ucla go since the other 4 will be following soon. 2) If the 4 join the BIG, then a West Coast division can be created and the travel issues minimized, so again Regents, set the Bruins free. 3) Torpedo current Pac 12 negotiations. 4) Click bait.
  3. Tough one . . . a ewe dub with multiple losses or dash their hopes and ranking pinning them their first L. I guess I'll go 1st L.
  4. There are lies, damn lies and statistics. The one statistic that counts is "scoreboard" and the end justifies the means! Keep these articles coming. Thx
  5. Let's see, dumpster fire program with unknown NCAA sledgehammer about to come down on Covid recruiting violations. LSU's situation was minor compared to ASU's ( LSU football program violated recruiting rules when a former assistant coach and former assistant director of recruiting met separately with a prospect during the COVID-19 recruiting dead period and provided the prospect with impermissible recruiting inducements.) ASU's was multiple recruits and families on campus and at least 4 staff members toast. Unless it is life altering money (of course, anything in 7 figures qualifies) why, why, why. Bid your time at Oregon and wait for a better P-5 situation, which comes around a few times a year.
  6. Loved watching Butterfield interact with Bo after the final whistle.
  7. "there are still a lot of lessons for Dillingham to learn. It is far more fun to learn those lessons through victory rather than defeat." Very true, and no one is going to call a perfect game. Just keep learning.
  8. I DVR’d the game and started watching 1½ hours after it started. Towards the end of the half I almost checked on the real-time score as I didn’t want to waste my time on a train wreck, but then I remember how I sometimes like watching train wrecks and I held off. Best move I’ve made in years other than remembering anniversaries and birthdays. I agree, going for 2 that early was a mistake. I’m semi glad they didn’t make it so maybe it can be a teaching moment for the coaches. That and red-zone calls against that type of D. Are we waiting to spring a fade route later in the season?
  9. I like the growth we are seeing, mainly in the coaches. The players are adjusting to the new schemes and with two league cupcakes (Stanford at home, AZ road) in a row coming up and then a bye, followed by 3 more fairly easy doable contests (UCLA at home, Cal and CU road) sets things up nicely for the Huskies & Utes at home. Beavs D scares me a bit, but not Nolan. So, heck yes Pac 12 Champs and a Rose Bowl W in our future THIS year.
  10. Charles, we need a grey beard roll call to see if we lost any watching this game. Was Bo int tipped? Reply slow motion looks like it might have been slightly, but probably not enough to have changed the outcome.
  11. ‘They put a hammer on us.’ Lake Stevens humbled by West Linn as Washington-vs.-Oregon showdown turns into rout WWW.MSN.COM By René Ferrán | Photos by Ken Waz Off in the distance, a fireworks display lit up the night sky beyond the southeast corner of West Linn’s Gregory Memorial Field. Hardly anyone noticed, so... Hopefully a good omen for later in the season
  12. Not me, don't care about optics for playoffs this year. I would prefer third, fourth or lower Pac 12 teams join the big. Go Beavs
  13. Pac-12 Basketball: Preseason power rankings for 2022-23 season BUSTINGBRACKETS.COM Last season, the hype in the Pac-12 Basketball league was supposed to be about UCLA, who went to the Final Four the year prior and had plenty of offseason ...
  14. Well, when your best friend is your boss and fires everyone except who was in charge/at fault, somebody evidently had had enough. Good for them.
  15. Report: Arizona State Staffers Allegedly Leaked Info To Opposing Coaches WWW.MSN.COM Last weekend, Arizona State officially parted ways with football coach Herm Edwards. A few days later, a troubling report surfaced regarding his time with the Sun Devils. According to Doug Haller... So much for keeping your enemies closer.
  16. Alabama DL Enters Transfer Portal WWW.MSN.COM Braylen Ingraham had not seen game action for the Crimson Tide since 2020. Seems our coach should have a leg up on this one if he wants him.
  17. Learning from your mistakes is what makes you stronger and I think your Dawgs learned pretty good from their mistakes in the SECCG.
  18. David, David, David. Please "drink alone" copious amounts of mouthwash ie Jack, Jimmy, Johnny, Black, Red, or with your buddy Weiser and/or your dear Old Grand Dad, before ever rooting for Ewe Dub, because then we may forgive you for having a reason for treason. Plus, that will help with that backwash problem.
  19. USC Trojans DE Romello Height (shoulder) likely out for season WWW.ESPN.COM USC defensive end Romello Height will likely miss the rest of the season after undergoing a shoulder procedure. Shouldn't affect us, since we won't be playing them in the Pac 12 C-ship, but could help the Beavs this week.
  20. I have to confess, I didn't read the article, but is Taggard on the list?
