Lincoln Riley is a Perfect Fit for USC and That’s Their Problem
I don't care where Riley's house is as long as it isn't within "distance" to Eugene.

Massive Duck Recruiting Weekend
I think it is now a dinosaur adage as I think the protal opens immediately for players whose coaches leave/are fired.

Lincoln Riley is a Perfect Fit for USC and That’s Their Problem
Third time was the charm for us and truth be told, as previously pointed out, we dodged a nuclear bullet when Wilcox turned us down. However, a couple of points . . . AtM has just set the usc bar on eating contracts, and At the beginning of the year the only mystery was which semi-final CFP game usc would be in. Now, it whether to reserve a Motel 6 room in El Paso or beg a relative for a cot for the LA Bowl as long as they don't have a usc sticker on their car.

If I Were Lanning?
I didn't realize the Oregon connection there. Hey Dan, give AtM a double bird and re-negotiate with the Ducks and tell them that you want $1.00 less to stay as AtM is paying Jimbo not to.

Bill Oram's Excellent Article in the Oregonian on the Decline of USC
The end of the article says it best By effectively ending the Trojans season on Saturday — at least slamming the door shut on the things they claimed to be playing for — Oregon now gets to do something that Williams, Riley and the Trojans no longer will: Fight on.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
56% for league games. Overall, about $2mil per win. On the bright side, 0 for losses if you only pay for wins.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
In case you already haven't tuned out Dennis Dodd at CBSsportsline, now would be a good time . . . "Dan Lanning, Oregon coach: Texas A&M has to make a call, but because of the timing, it would likely be difficult to pry Lanning away from the Ducks. TAMU is a better job than Oregon"

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
New level of stupidity at A&M . . . According to the terms of the contract, Texas A&M will owe Fisher $19.2 million within 60 days and then pay him $7.2 annually through 2031. There is no offset or mitigation on those payments, and the annual payments start 120 days after termination. Which means when Mich State gives him a new 100 Mil deal, A&M still has to pay the remaining buyout. I had thought (silly me) that after Charlie Weis was getting paid by 3 organizations, mitigation for future jobs was built into most contracts. I guess Larry Scott's advisors were hired by A&M a few years ago.

Ducks Top Trojans On Sloppy Saturday
I will not ignore the phantom PI on 4th and whatever. Without that call, a 14 pt swing and 43 - 21 looks about right. So, lots to fix and hopefully little back slapping on the sloppy W.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
I hope so and agree. According to my non-source (I think it was Groucho [JJ will know]) if nominated Lanning will not run/seek the job, and if offered/elected, he will not accept.
