  1. I'm pretty sure it was a few years before they reached that status, or am I thinking of the AZ schools?
  2. Well, Miami fans are probably just pissed Mari's buyout wasn't big enough for them to walk away.
  3. Thanks Darren. Yours is about the only article worth reading on the Media rights situation until it is announced. Yes, trust GK. Larry made a great media deal . . . until it wasn't. It was too long and obsolete once the next conference signed their deal. Not having an escape clause upon the next Power 5 deal was the death knell, that and a Kardasian lifestyle.
  4. Yes, a "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" situation. Probably won't be the last time and probably a good precedence set.
  5. “I’m happy to have been exonerated, and I’m looking forward to a great season with the Ducks." So are we.
  6. I guess we're stuck with this narrative until the media deal is signed. Personally, I'm going to lengthen my life by refusing to read this type of muck.
  7. Indianapolis (home of the NCAA) is probably experiencing a polygrip crisis about now.
  8. PERIOD, END OF STORY!!!
  9. Don't care where any Ducks get drafted or if, just be a team player!
  10. Alabama, Georgia lead college football's 12 most lethal rosters for 2023 247SPORTS.COM ... Coming in at #9 . . . really is #7 with TA$M and Notso Longhorns ahead of us.
  11. Until the audio system goes down. Plus, and then instead of faking injuries, fake the system is down to buy more time.
  12. Tread lightly on this post. A similar one was locked due to comments getting off the rails into the political arena.
  13. I also think that a team gets their challenge back if they successfully challenge the play. Why should you be punished for correcting the refs mistakes?
  14. Errrr, pre official visit $$$?
  15. I think we are past, UNFORTUNATELY, looking out for the student in student-athlete. Therefore, a Texas foothold is a plus/must. Now those kids, they grow them big down there, can have games close to their families. This might help the WSUs and OSUs wherein instead of all games several connecting flights away, at least once a year they are home. I think Altman used this in BBall a while back wherein he always tried to have at least a non-conference game close to a recruit's family.
  16. Time to go poaching AGAIN. Pretty sure DL already had a head start on names once Klemm was in the running as OC a couple of weeks ago.
  17. And that is why PACannibaliztion will be at an all-time high this year. Most teams, at least percentage wise in the top 25, and first conference eliminated from contention since the league can't shield the top from the top like SomE (C) league is able to do.
  18. Not so fast my friend, just the opposite . . . inflated head with plenty of room as the grey matter has been relegated to the other "end" of the torso.
  19. Especially when they've seen that play earlier in the game.
  20. I disagree. With the expanded playoff, stay put. Also, as that sage prophet Bill Walton intoned, it is bad for the athlete (student-athlete went by the wayside long ago, not to mention NIL) in regard to travel and the requirements of academics.
  21. I think TX & OK to SEC and UCLA and uscrybabies to the "BIG non-math majors" will help our SoCal and TX recruiting once they are entrenched in their soon to be middle of the road status.
  22. Can't blame him for staying. One more year with Penix and then off to a HC gig.
