  1. I hope he takes the ewe dub trip so he can see how the other (lower) half lives and report back to all those would be lost souls who are considering them.
  2. This just in, realignment rears its ugly head as Washington exploring a 7 on 7 league for 2024 and beyond to match their recruiting totals.
  3. Full Story at 24/7 pay site. Out of Mater Dei in California. 5'11", 195#.
  4. Another issue that we are always facing is based on the preseason polls. Let's say 6 SEC teams in the top 20 (who have earned NOTHING yet butt media darlingship) and then those teams "cannibalize" each other, may still end up in the top 20 because they only lost to "top" 20 teams. So yes, Pate's premise is off due to rankings based upon recruiting and also preseason bias.
  5. Per Erik Skopil at 24/7, Ducks showing commitment to in-state recruitment in 2024. They now have the state's top prospect (tight end AJ Pugliano), the No. 3 (Brooks) and the No. 5 (offensive tackle) Trent Ferguson), per 247Sports rankings.
  6. Oregon lands commitment from three-star in-state IOL Devin Brooks 247SPORTS.COM Oregon ends the weekend on a high note, landing a commitment from three-star IOL Devin Brooks.
  7. I would think a lot of smaller college towns would be behind "local" athletes getting their/a piece of the pie.
  8. ESPN Employees Saddened By Longtime SportsCenter Anchor's Departure WWW.MSN.COM One of ESPN's longest-tenured SportsCenter hosts is leaving the network. Neil Everett, whose been on ESPN for more than 20 years, will be leaving the network, which is set to begin laying off... Major bummer.
  9. Trent Dilfer breaks ranks from selfish coaches with refreshing NIL take | Opinion WWW.MSN.COM Is it a problem that well-resourced SEC programs can use NIL to raid talent from Group of Five schools? Trent Dilfer has some thoughts on that. Down in the article is: "Here was a recent doozy: Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek lamented that NIL deals encourage athletes to – get a load of this – stay in school and further their education."
  10. The IRS Just Laid Down A Huge Ruling That Will Change How NIL Collectives Work WWW.MSN.COM The advent of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights for college athletes has completely changed college sports, especially football and basketball. With the ability for players to accept...
  11. I could hear the sigh of relief when sc saw Tulane wasn't on their schedule.
  12. Trojans to face absolute gauntlet in 2024 after Big Ten schedule release WWW.MSN.COM USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten at the start of the 2024 college football season, and the Trojans will have one of the most difficult schedules in the country when they join the... Big Ten football schedule: Conference releases 2024, 2025 opponents featuring 'flex protect plus' model - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Big Ten schedule will look far different beginning in 2024 with the arrival of USC and UCLA Plus, I think they will be breaking in a new QB about then.
  13. Texas is the old u$c of the Big 12, preseason hype, post season hope.
  14. That being said, look for it to be done by the end of June to add SDSU prior to doubling their buyout.
  15. So much for Uncle Phil coughing up a mil a few years ago so they could keep Coach Casey.
  16. Wow, this guy surely loves his proctologist! I wonder if he has standing appointments every year.
  17. Oregon lands at No. 9 in 2023 Blue-Chip Ratio; highest ranked Pac-12 team 247SPORTS.COM On Tuesday, 247 Sports released its annual blue-chip ratio that saw Oregon rise to No. 9 in the country.
  18. College football expansion: Big 12 set to add two teams, per report WWW.MSN.COM With speculation that college football expansion and conference realignment is set to pick up again soon, it appears that the Big 12 will be the conference that makes the next move, with insiders... So, let's see, if we don't like the new media deal were gone . . . but if we do, we staying. Seems reasonable since everyone wants their cake and eat it too. With the "eat their own" attitude of college sports now adays, every team could take this avenue and not sign off on the grant of rights and enter the conference realignment portal.
  19. I say "bring it on". With expanded playoffs, we don't belong in the picture unless we can win the "Pac whatever" and get the auto bid, so these games should only help us in league play as opposed to all cupcakes and getting the "our poop don't stink" attitude. Georgia didn't keep us out of the playoffs last year, ewe dub and the Beavs did!
