This is the only point I am going to disagree with. The cupboard is not bare, especially on the D side. The only thing that may bring us down is injuries.

Fair. However, I look at it based upon where he started from and what he has done with what he has to deal with. We sure don't see any coaches from sub-500 teams, but that doesn't mean they are bad coaches.

What do you think of the list? Should J Smith be there now? And, two years max before Lanning moves up. Hopefully past Lincoln. Although this has been discussed previously, sometimes ad nauseum, here is another voice. However it is a new article, so we may discuss it to our satisfaction. The new rule (31c) was meant to stop steering most threads to the extreme negative of what "may" happen, or will not happen for at least three years to OBD. So, since this is a new article--discuss as usual. Nick Saban: Current state of college football not ‘sustainable’ WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Alabama coach Nick Saban is concerned about the current state of college football. Of course, he is always angling for himself. Remember when he wanted to outlaw the hurry-up for "safety reasons". And, calling for a change in SEC scheduling that he knows will only take place after he is gone.

Does Oregon Have a New 'Saban' in Dan Lanning?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I hope the coaching staff listened to Kenjon Barner's interview with John Canzano. He said when he was at Carolina several veterans were very helpful, especially Steve Smith who would ask him what he did the day before after practice that made him better the next day. We want that type of culture instilled. -

Lanning--'A Juice...And Excitement About Oregon Football'
Steven A replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
So, he takes over Stoops recruits and does well. His cupboard isn't quite the same at sc, but he does bring his rep. Hopefully Lanning can duplicate that success with Cristbal's (again leaving out the "o") recruits. -

Newest oxymoron. -
All of the players got the best end of the "trade", new surroundings and a fresh start. Now it is up to them to make the most of it. P.S. We freed up +2 on scholarships. With Lanning's Duck history, this may be the biggest upside.
