Wow, I just went there and read the first four pages of the thread called. "Perspective on Mario Start:" It would seem that some of the cane faithful are on to Mari-no-O's game coaching short comings already. Even though before the season started, many were predicting a 9 win season for Miami, now some of those are saying the canes need a complete rebuild. Have any of you been watching any of these simulated games on you tube? They have Oregon playing all or most of our upcoming opponents teams for 2023. In looking at a few of them, something struck me as familiar. They appear to be running MC"s offensive play calling. Lots of runs for short yardage, lots of QB scrambles for short yards. I find myself wondering if the reason is because that's all the recent data they have on Oregon so that's what they are using? I keep hoping for some explosive plays but none seem to be forthcoming. Third and long and a RB runs between the tackles, 3 yards, a cloud of dust and give up the ball. Who needs Deja Vu like that! Yuck!! I was thinking maybe I missed a few of those games that were exciting. Please tell me someone has found a game that looks more like what we all are expecting. The simulations are interesting, the play calling sucks! IMHO of course. 3 weeks until the real thing. Go Ducks!

I understood that they also auctioned the pink helmets off and gave the proceeds to that cause as well. And, the prices for them were really high!

Well. that didn't happen, even with giving him the first half, it just looks like the same old same old. I wanted to write a pithy comment, but am too disappointed! Spring will bring a fresh approach and lots of optimism. I'll be there for that. Until then, I am checked out. Happy New Year!

Leach can be a funny guy and he has been the occasional thorn in the Ducks side. I will always smile at his "Fat girlfriend" rant. I have to ask him though... Why is it OK for the coaches to bail on their team to take a new job, but not OK for the players to put their self interest ahead of the team when it's their future they are trying to protect? Just asking for a friend.
