I may have been drinking the Kool Aid. I am happy at this point. I think we are improving each game. I am not concerned about the second half because UCLA did not bring much to the table. I think we will have a much more competitive game Friday night. We will win that game by 14+ and then bring on The Ohio State University who will probably be favored by say 7 points. Then we crush the Buckeyes in Eugene! GO DUCKS! More Kool Aid please.

My pure guess is that Moore and Novostad are really close like 2A and 2B. Moore got in for a few snaps recently and now it was Novostad's turn.

By the way, our narrow win over Boise State may be proving to be a pretty good win at the end of the season. Boise State blasted WSU last night and Austin Jeanty was running wild with 259 yards and four TD's. The Broncos are real.

I thought our DUCKS played really well especially considering they were on the road. A defense that just gave up six points and absolutely dominated. Our offense was pretty darn good. Our QB showed us he is human. Perhaps a bit of a let down in the second half might be to the team recognizing that UCLA was providing no threat at all. GO DUCKS!

November 3, 2012 my wife and I had great seats at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to watch our DUCKS beat USC 62-51. Kenjon Barner produced the greatest running back performance I have ever seen in person. 321 yards on 38 carries for an 8.4 yard average per carry. Marcus Mariota goes 20 for 23 and 304 yards. The USC fans surrounding us were gracious with thoughts like "We hope Oregon goes all the way". But it was not to be.

The essence of FishDuck is of course Charles Fischer and the great friendly FishDuck Forum he created. There is a problem however.........There is one whole lot of Duck and not much in the way of Fish. This is a steelhead I caught and released fly fishing the Rogue River near Central Point on Friday Sept 13. Note the Oregon hat on the day before the Civil War. GO DUCKS!

Thanks Jon Joseph and Mike West. College football is clearly a work in progress and perhaps it is several more years before it settles down. I have often wondered what it must be like to be Dan Lanning in this current environment. No easy task. Perhaps this is why Nick Saban walked away. Head Coach may becoming a younger mans (or woman) game. GO DUCKS!

Thank you Mike West. I always look forward to what you have to contribute. I feel I have approximately 20% of your football knowledge so you are giving me a bit of hope. I think that a great deal of what we are seeing is due to all the recent changes in college football. Mainly the Transfer Portal and NIL. We have many top players on offense and defense but are they a team yet? Not in my mind. I love my DUCKS but it feels to me like a hastily assembled team of mercenaries who may or may not gel and become a real team this year. GO DUCKS!

The comments about announcers were all valid. I got tired of the large former player announcer who continually referred to the players as "kids". One thing that really worked for me was the picture quality on Peacock digital streaming. The clarity and brightness were far better than Dish.

I heard a female announcer prior to the Texas-Michigan game say something like, and I paraphrase, " Could a top 10 team lose today?". With #3 playing #!0, that was a virtual certainty.

My expectations are lowered now. I was believing our own hype. It does seem to me that there is potential improvement as this team has clearly not gelled together yet IMHO. For example: It seems that many potential offensive drives were marred by many penalties. I can not find the number of penalties our DUCKS committed yesterday but it seemed significant. Does anyone know the number? GO DUCKS!

"Coverage will begin shortly" I wonder what this means? Surely NBC is able to broadcast two games at once I hope. Edit and they can!

I like everyone is hoping to see some significant improvement this week. Former DUCK Dante Dowdell has sure looked good in the Nebraska backfield. I want to see our running backs and hope they do well. GO DUCKS!

Shadeuer Sanders having a tough start against Nebraska. 4 minutes to go in the first quarter and he has been sacked three times and thrown a pick six. Nebraska 14, Colorado 0. Plus some guy named Dante Dowdell is having a fine running game for Nebraska.

Northern Illinois vs Notre Dame is carried on both NBC and Peacock Streaming. My audio visual system is first class and the Peacock stream is visually sharper, clearer and brighter and the difference is significant. Go Peacock!

Sorry Jon, I have to post that Eastern Washington is up on UW 3-0 after the first quarter.

Just finished College Game Day. Oregon vs Boise State was not even covered. Really?

I signed up for Peacock and just spotted that Colorado at Nebraska is also streaming on Peacock.

There is also a premium service for about $14 per month. I tried to record the game but you cannot record Peacock with just the basic package. Perhaps you can with the Premium service. Welcome to the new world of college football. You cannot expect any longer to turn on the TV and find the game easily. GO DUCKS! BTW, this game terrifies me.

Once again Dan Lanning needs to take a look at his play calling. I and probably many of you were calling for a punt from our own 37 yard line with a fourth and one. Why wouldn't you punt? That failure plus an immediate Idaho score shocked all of us. How would you feel if the final score was 24-7?
