WSJ - Indiana - They Barely Practice at All
Hey Jon Joseph, thank you for the in-depth background on Coach Cignetti. He seemed to have appeared out of nowhere but has been climbing the ladder for years.

WSJ - Indiana - They Barely Practice at All
This is an unlocked article from the Wall Street Journal. They make it look like you have to sign up but you do not. This approach sounds revolutionary to me. https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/indiana-curt-cignetti-fernando-mendoza-510bc45a?st=mWeLJR&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

The Oregon Offense is Still Growing
Thanks for the update David. I do wonder with how well Malik Benson and Jeremiah McClellan have played, how do you take them off the field? I guess this is a good problem to have, Our depth at WR is so good, are we now in a position to challenge THE Ohio State University for the title Wide Receiver U?

Do the Ducks have a Secret Plan at Backup QB? I hope so!
My guess is that Dante Moore will play the first half of the game against JMU and in the second half, we will see the QB who Dan Lanning thinks is his #2.

No. 5 Oregon Hosts No. 12 James Madison Univ. at Autzen for First Round
It seems to me that a two loss Notre Dame team should be in ahead of a three loss Alabama team.

Do the Ducks have a Secret Plan at Backup QB? I hope so!
There is no question that Brock Thomas earned his ranking as #2 QB and if he is called on, Dan Lanning feels confident that he will do a good job.

WSJ - Unruly Market in Teen Sports Tears a Family Apart
This is an unlocked article from the Wall Street Journal although it sometimes looks like you need to subscribe, you do not. I always knew about shady money in college football but did not know it exists in high school as well. Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
I saw an article that said this just happened and I went back to find the article and I could not. It might have been a scam. So just ignore my posting about Chris Henry.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
Jeremiah McClellan made one of the best catches I have ever seen. Unfortunately he and we was robbed! There is not much drop off, if any with our 1st team receivers not playing IMHO.

Oregon vs. USC was the Game this Season Needed
Thanks David, it sure did feel like a rivalry game. I believe we meet again next year and that is probably at The Coliseum. I was at the 2012 game in Los Angeles and will make plans for next year as well. I do think Charley Pickard played way more than a serviceable game. Thanks for the write up.

And There Goes Another: Cal fires Wilcox
Lots of talk about Lane Kiffin going to LSU for the biggest paycheck in college football. How does one negotiate a contract with LSU when they are trying to deny paying Brian Kelly his severance pay? I am not debating whether Kelly earned it or not. It seems that LSU is not honoring their agreement. If I am Lane Kiffen, I have to ask myself, will they honor my agreement?

Oregon The More Physical Team
No question our DUCKS were more physical and I think it is due to our great depth. Look at the O Line we fielded in the second half. They did not miss a beat. And speaking about depth, how about our receivers for the last three games? They were replacing starters and they have been fabulous. I certainly hope our hurt receivers reenter the fold before the season is over but it might be tough to get the current starters off the field.

Post-Game: No Fingernails Left, & Out of Heart Medications...
Some are complaining about our DB's. USC has a great QB and three great WR's. Unfortunately for USC they have no running game and a weak defense. This was a great win for our DUCKS!

Maybe this will be a game like the 2012 Oregon-USC matchup at the Coliseum?

We will need to get pressure on the USC QB or it will be a long day.
