  1. Just read several reports that Dan Lanning is in Tuscaloosa right now.
  2. This might be a landing spot for Jim Harbaugh. He could get out from under some of the mess he has made around the football program at Michigan.
  3. Best of luck to you Charles. Rent yourself a very nice place in a very nice neighborhood. Now you may not be ready for this advice. Find a high end gym close to your residence. You will find that as a single mature male, the actuarial tables are in your favor and you will be very much in demand.
  4. I have to confess my sins........I was rooting for the Huskies!
  5. Nice article Jon. I wish to thank you for helping to turn this aircraft carrier a bit and get us "Pac 12 Guys and Gals" start the reorienting process to the B1G. It is not easy, I spent the whole bowl season reflecting on how the Pac 12 was doing. Now time for a new orientation and challenge. GO DUCKS!
  6. I enjoy the author. Michigan May Win the National Championship. Help! WWW.WSJ.COM An overtime defeat of Alabama puts the Wolverines in the title game against Washington—and our Wisconsin-grad columnist mulling a move to an underground cave
  7. All these years of watching and attending DUCK football, I was not aware of the "Push Pass". I thought those were runs. Oh well...........
  8. Thank you Mr. FishDuck. IMHO this game puts our DUCKS in a no win situation. We are expected to win but this is football with all sorts of risks. Good Gosh forbid but look what happened to The Ohio State University yesterday, losing their starting QB early in the game and laying an egg. Do we expect to play Bo Nix for three quarters? Liberty is a talented team and will be bringing their "A" game. Will our DUCKS bring the same and will we stay healthy? We have great depth this year but no longer at QB for this game.
  9. The Year College Football Ate Itself WWW.WSJ.COM After months of maneuvering and spending—farewell, Pac 12; hello $75 million for Jimbo Fisher—it’s impossible to pretend it’s anything but another ruthless business
  10. This could be the downfall for Texas. They have a great defense against the run but UW does not run all that much. I think the purple wins this game.
  11. This is Cosmo the Wonder Poodle. Notice the Oregon collar as well. He is a big DUCK fan!
  12. My idea of decadence is two Snake River Waygu rib steaks. A bit of Maldon Salt and then pan sear for two minutes a side and then into an oven set at 425 for 5-7 minutes depending on the thickness of the cut. Now to rest about 6 minutes under cover with a big pat of Tillamook Extra Creamy Butter. Serve with my made from scratch Caesar Salad including homemade croutons, rice pilaf and a nice bottle of Lavinea (Willamette Valley) Pinot Noir from the Elton Vineyard. This is coming up next week.
  13. This can happen, Cam Ward had zero D-1 offers out of high school, in fact the only offer he had was Incarnate Word.

  15. Just saw a rumor that Ty Thompson was getting close to Oregon State. If it was on the internet, then it must be true, correct?
  16. I do not think Ty Thompson ever had much of a chance this year to show us what he might be capable of. It was pretty clear that the University, the Athletic Department and Dan Lanning were going to promote Bo Nix for the Heisman. "Not that there is anything wrong with that" but Bo played enormous minutes that might have gone to TT in a perfect world. Ty, I hope you find a great place to practice your skills!
  17. I apologize, I clicked a link that allows me to "gift" an article and has worked on this forum in the past. Perhaps no longer.
  18. Jason Gay from the WSJ is one of my favorite sports writers. The NCAA Wants to Pay College Athletes. It Doesn’t Really Have a Choice. WWW.WSJ.COM A new proposal outlines a radical future for college sports—but the courts are likely to get there first
  19. This is not a direct comparison obviously but Liberty beat New Mexico State to win their conference championship 49-35. In 2010 our DUCKS played New Mexico State and won 72-0. Bo Nix is going to play but will we even have a backup QB on the roster if Dan Lanning announces a new QB from the portal? We could see both Ty Thomson and Austin Novosad transfer out. I do not like how this is playing out.
  20. Well they did beat New Mexico State for the CSUA Football Championship. Seriously, how does this happen? Are we being punished for two losses, both to the #2 team in the nation?
  21. Been traveling all day and just heard this news. Until this week, I had literally never heard of this University. With all the bowl discussion this week, the name Liberty came up and I said who is this? This seems like a very sad draw for our DUCKS.
  22. Michigan Washington Alabama Texas Sorry Florida State, down to your third QB, you no longer pass the eye test.
  23. Well, I will say the unthinkable. The Huskies were the better team last night. Penix played very well, no sign of injury to me. Our DUCKS are top drawer but UW earned this win. If their next game is vs Michigan, the Huskies have a good chance to blow them out. JMHO.
