Pretty Ugly Win, But I'll Take It...
Actually I am choosing to see my cup as half full. Pretty happy with the win in miserable weather and IMHO while not perfect Oregon won in a convincing way. So I am choosing to have a large gin and tonic and am currently streaming the Grateful Dead and listening to Box of Rain which seems appropriate. GO DUCKS!

The Quarterback Conspiracy Theory or I am So Confused.
I think Mr. FishDuck may be on the money with this one. If both Novosad and Moga are going to the portal, they both have enough talent to start somewhere IMHO. Coach Lanning was just fine with Brock Thomas in the mop up role against Rutgers. If Novosad and Moga suited up and traveled with the team, surely they would be available if needed. Right?

The Quarterback Conspiracy Theory or I am So Confused.
So if both Moga and Novosad have burned their redshirt, then why are they not brought in to play or has Brock Thomas beat them out on the depth chart? Who comes in if we need backup and are in a real tight game?

The Quarterback Conspiracy Theory or I am So Confused.
Quarterback #1 is Dante Moore and there is no debate. Now what happens if Dante gets dinged up (God forbid) in an important game like at Iowa. What is the real depth in this QB room as opposed to what is on paper. Is Brock Thomas really #2? Maybe he deserves it but is he good enough? Are Austin Novosad and Luke Moga both choosing to redshirt and are really not available? Is Akili Smith Jr. available? I am confused and not in a good way. Any thoughts?

Oregon Football: Week Seven’s Shining Star
Thanks Alex, always look forward to reading your thoughts. For me, our outstanding player was Bryce Boettcher. He was always playing his normal outstanding linebacker role.

James Franklin is Out at Penn State
Penn State also lost their QB Drew Aller for the rest of the year.

WSJ on Fernando Mendoza
Seems like quite a young man. Welcome to Autzen Stadium in the rain. I remember Jared Goff in his first collegiate start in Eugene. https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/fernando-mendoza-indiana-cal-2bd2445e?st=82S5oE&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

TV Picture Quality for Indiana Game
Most of us will watch the game on our local CBS Network channel but there is another option. CBS will be streaming this game on their Paramount Network. My system at home is a high end LG OLED TV receiving most channels through DISH. I also have fast internet and I have been streaming college games through Paramount and Peacock and doing back to back comparisons. On my system with fast internet and high quality TV, the streaming picture is significantly better than CBS through DISH and the difference is easy to see. GO DUCKS!

Florida Beats Texas! Congrats to GatOrlando!
On Monday, I have to meet with my business partner who is as avid a Texas Longhorn as I am an Oregon Duck. I told him after the Saturday Longhorn debacle that I have the ability to make him an honorary Oregon DUCK and I might throw in my Phil Knight bobblehead as well. What will his answer be???
