In the NC game against Auburn, the refs didn’t hose Oregon nearly as bad as Chip did. Auburn’s pass defense was horrible but he was very adamant about establishing the run. He finally figured it out, but it was too late.

Ohio State is going to cover against Notre Dame. The Irish offense isn’t nearly as good as any of the Buckeyes previous opponents. They rely on their defense to generate points off of turnovers. This championship game is going to be anticlimactic.

There are Duck “fans” who only show up to complain. They get deleted pretty quickly if they cross the line. I’m sure Charles can tell some stories from the early days.

This is the same OSU team that beat Oregon. Their defense is just as aggressive and they’re handling Sark’s offense pretty well. The big difference is Oregon’s defense couldn’t stop them. Howard is tentative now that he has to play All-American defensive backs.
Howard needs another big pass play to stick a fork in Texas’s defense.

Sark is about the most uninspiring coach in college football. He’s the same guy he was at uw and USuC. Ohio State comes out and gets three more scores and shuts Texas out in the second half.

That was the nail in the coffin. Ohio State just said “We’re done playing with you guys”. OSU gets the ball back after the half. They’re going to march down the field and put the game away.

Madsen will announce at the game on Saturday. The 247 Crystal Ball has him choosing Oregon.

The proof is in the next couple of years. I think Chip would have regressed right around the time Helfrich imploded, but not as spectacularly. He wasn't a great recruiter and his system no longer surprised people. If DL continues his double digit win average, then I think he will be considered Oregon's most successful coach depending on how long he stays.

Get used to it because Dante Moore is not a dual threat QB. He’s considered more of a pocket passer. I’m sure he’s got some athleticism, but he’s not fast.

Bo wouldn’t have helped our defense. I agree with Charles. The result would’ve been the same. As for Bo’s upside in the NFL. I believe he will be the first in his class to get to a Super Bowl because of the Sean Payton factor.

Tommy Mellott won’t be playing next season. Their offense is woefully one-dimensional and their defense looks like Swiss cheese. It should be a good opening game for the Ducks.

It would have been really interesting to see who would have been the fourth team selected this year between Texas, Ohio State and Penn State. I’m assuming that they would have passed over ASU but they do like their conference champions…

I’ve only seen two really huge upsets in CFB championship games in my lifetime. Both happened to the Miami Hurricanes. In 1986 against PSU and in 2002 against OSU. If they’re not playing then I’m not counting on an upset.
