At least I admit it which is very difficult to do.
Texas, much like Ohio State , is one of those teams that has a huge amount of fans who have never been to their campus. They can be quite annoying and very easy to root against.

DeBoer should’ve taken the points instead of going for it on 4th down. Texas isn’t moving the ball very well against them. Those 3 points might be huge later on.

Helfrich and the coaching staff were not willing to burn his redshirt for about a half a game's worth of play.
The redshirt rules have changed a lot since then. Now players can play four regular season games and the bowl game without burning the redshirt.
That doesn't defend the defensive collapse that game but I do agree with the decision to preserve a redshirt in a non playoff bowl game.
Especially since he would start the 2019 season and anchor the team to a Pac 12 championship and Rose Bowl win.

I only follow them until they get fired from their first job. Then it’s no fun anymore (see Taggart). However, I didn’t have a negative attitude towards Chip personally. I wanted him to fail miserably, but I didn’t want him to fail because he left Oregon. I wanted him to fail because he was coaching the Eagles.

He thinks Leavitt’s a clown. It makes sense. He was the RB coach and running game coordinator, so he was in lock step with Mario.

I just saw this little gem on X. I think we always knew there was bad blood, but this confirms it. Mario certainly didn’t like anyone who was a threat to his power. The quick exits of Josh Gattis and Kevin Steele make a lot more sense now.

Kyle McCord would’ve made a huge difference in the game but he transferred because he was basically cut.The day after he hit the portal Ben Hartsock came on the Dusty and Danny radio show and said as much. He stated how they shut down his NIL money and told him they were bringing in a transfer and that he didn’t have a future as their starting QB.
This type of thing isn’t uncommon these days. All teams have honest conversations with their players to include Oregon.
