The Paul Finebaum show after a Bama loss is pure gold as well. However, I know quite a few Duck, Buckeye, Wolverine fans, etc. who act the same way sans the southern drawl.

It’s DeBoer or bust for Bama.
FSU's Norvell, Texas' Sarkisian staying, new deals in works for both - ESPN

Texas' Steve Sarkisian and Florida State's Mike Norvell reaffirmed their commitments to their current schools on social media on Friday after being linked to Alabama's high-profile vacancy.- 2

As a fan base we recently went through a very trying few hours of worrying about DL leaving for Alabama. Most of the posts were very normal. They ranged from reasons why he wouldn’t leave to “he gone”. I’m sure this is all very normal when it comes to writing one’s emotions down on the screen.
What I would suggest is to have somebody read your post before submitting it. If that’s not possible read it again to yourself and ask “Do I sound rational”? However, the best way to check yourself is to watch this video first. If you are anywhere close to sounding like this guy you might want to wait 24 hours to post any comments.
One more thing. Don’t post anything if you’re either drunk, outside in the cold with no shoes on, or both.- 1

Give this a listen. Klatt makes a lot of good points. The two biggest being: 1) DeBoer recently hired Jimmy Sexton who knows the SEC landscape very well since he represents most of the big name coaches in the conference and 2) DeBoer isn’t working for the AD who hired him anymore. She took off to USuC.

It seems that DeBoer’s schedule has changed a bit this morning. Whether it’s him or Norvell, I’m still happy. One would think that FSU poaching Taggart only to have him drag their program down in the gutter with him would be punishment enough. Nope, they should suffer getting their head coach taken from them. I still recall their fans taunting us and calling us a stepping stone program.

Just ok?
I feel it is turning out to be a whole lot better than just ok.
Now if we can get some news that DeBoer is leaving Washington for some of those sweet sweet Husky tears we are looking at an almost perfect off-season day.
Never get too excited when you’re on a heater.

DeBoer would do great the first few years since he is great at winning with other coach’s players.

Today is turning out to be OK.

That's a benefit!?
With the increase in big games at Autzen, I'm pretty sure we'll begin to hear more about an expansion of the north side of Autzen to match the South.
The benefit is our students will be in school during conference games, so their section won’t be filled with opposing fans like the Nebraska and Tennessee games. Ohio State is another fan base that gets around. Of course, none of them seem to live in Ohio anymore. You can’t swing a dead cat and not hit a Buckeye fan anywhere in the U.S. these days.
-
Teams like Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. will no longer be able to fill our student section in the pre-season. However, I do expect them to fill at least 25% of the rest of Autzen Stadium unlike our old conference foes.
The Californians and Arizonans didn’t seem to care much for the weather in Eugene after September. Oregon will seem like Florida to the Midwesterners. They’ll have no problem with getting gouged by some entrepreneurial Duck fan looking to make a mortgage payment off of their end zone seats.
Note: The Tennessee game in 2013 was pretty bad as well. Lots of orange in the stands that day.

It seems now the top 3 candidates are DeBoer, Norvell, and current Alabama OC Tommy Rees as they are all reported to be scheduled to interview soon (if not already).
I just checked the Fuskie forums, they're pooping their pampers over there lol
This might be a good time for Norvell to find employment elsewhere a la Chip in 2013.

His replacement should be announced tomorrow. Jimmy Sexton was filmed on campus today, so it’s either Norvell or DeBoer. My hunch is Norvell since he’s been silent and De Boer is scheduled for a radio interview tomorrow morning with a local Seattle station.

Here is my double-secret bonus take. Pete Carroll to Bama. He can pay his players these day and the NCAA will leave him alone.

I think the NFL would suit DeBoer better than college. He’s not good at recruiting but he knows how to develop talent and identity free agents that fit his system. Seattle has obviously had good luck with a college coach, so they might kick the tires.

Realistically given the expectations at Alabama they would need to pull Kirby or Harbaugh. I don't think either of them would take it right now, which leaves the next sensible candidate being Sark. He's middle aged, coached at Alabama at the past, and just had a CFP appearance.
It’s funny you mention Sark. When this story broke today on SXM’s College Sports channel, Chris Doering was saying that he would be very surprised if Sark and Lanning considered the Bama job since their current programs have everything they need to win.

Kirby is #1 on the Bama list
I always thought nobody could be hated more than Kiffin by the good people of Knoxville. Then Jonathan Smith came along and unseated him. However, if Kirby went to Bama he might have to have one of his assistants coach the Tide every time he plays in Athens or Atlanta.

Unless Bama triples his salary, I think DL stays.
Even if these two guys showed up with stacks of cash I think Uncle Phil would be willing to get into a bidding war.

Imagine if he goes to Alabama and loses to UGA in next year’s regular season game and then a couple of SEC championship games in the following years and then gets fired. Kirby would be the guy who made him and then destroyed him in the span of 5 seasons.
-
Uncle Phil matched FSU and Miami’s offers when we lost our last two coaches. I don’t expect him to give up without a fight. Oregon certainly won’t lose him for higher pay or due to homesickness.

That’s in Orange Beach. It’s a vacation destination that is very close to the Florida panhandle, so prices will be similar. Newer houses in the 2500-3000 square foot range that are inland will still be seven figures easily.
Waterfront property in the Bellevue area with similar square footage will run $20-$30M. All the more reason for DeBoer to relocate. He probably lives in a shanty with his Husky salary.
