We showed against Penn State that we can scheme our offense against DL pressure although Penn State's secondary isn't as good as OSU's.

And it was good to see the new look of OSU defense to be better prepared for it.

My biggest concern is OSU's offense scheming like they did against Tennessee. Attacking the edges of the defense and really taking advantage of their passing talent.

This might give you some hope.

  2. Replace Indiana, SMU, and Clemson with Bama, Ole Miss and USCe and you likely get the same results. All three would lose in all of those environments by at least two scores. Bama and USCe are one-trick ponies. Force their QB’s to throw and it’s game over. Ole Miss has the better QB out of the three but he can barely move the offense in warm weather against average defenses. PSU and ND would shut him down.

You know someone at a bar told me that osu decided not to blitz OBD the first time around and that's why OBD won the game?? So it wasn't the fact that the O-line was just better than the D?

It's amazing that OBD has the smartest, craftiest coach that has done more with "less" overall talent than osu! Money can buy you championships, ta&m, if you have the coach and staff to lead the young men!

Oregon can, and will, out play and coach osu for another win.

They couldn’t cover our WR’s with seven defenders in coverage. They better make sure they get home on their blitzes if they choose to do so.

Well, Oregon did play and beat 3 playoff teams this year (Ohio State, Penn State and Boise State).

SEC schools have a history of canceling home-and-home series with West Coast schools, including Oregon (e.g., Texas A&M). Oregon swept home-and-home series against Tennessee and Miss State (credit those programs for traveling to Eugene!). Their fans, by all accounts, were first class.

Most SEC schools would never schedule an away game against Oregon (we had to play LSU and Auburn in Dallas and Georgia in Atlanta for “neutral site” games).

No thanks to any more of those “neutral site” regular season games in SEC county. (I can’t believe that Oregon might have to play Texas in Dallas and Georgia in Atlanta as the #1 seed in the playoffs!).

When Texas A&M was a member of the Big 12, it scheduled home-and-home series with USC and...

UGA also canceled a home and home with Oregon for the 2015-2016 seasons due to length of travel. Don’t believe the “mutually agreed upon” BS.  UGA’s AD is quoted as saying the travel was too much and Oregon doesn’t have a history of avoiding big games. The joke is on them, though. They would’ve killed us in 2016.

The Georgia Bulldogs and the Oregon Ducks have canceled their 2015 and 2016 home-and-home football series.

  5. Tonight’s OSU/Tenn game will be a good litmus test on the strength of the conference. If OSU wins handily then that changes the narrative. All of the top teams from both conferences have great defenses, but the SEC has pretty erratic QB play.

Notre Dame is an excellent football team. They should beat UGA in the Sugar Bowl. Their defense will overwhelm Stockton, but I think the Dawgs defense can do the same against Leonard. It should be a good one.
