Transfer Portal: How Many Players Follow Dillingham?
Very few... IMHO. The delta between Oregon and ASU is massive. And ASU is a disaster zone with significant sanctions looming. And with all due respect to Dillingham, he is certainly nowhere near a Lincoln Riley, nor is ASU remotely comparable to USC. For these reasons, and many more, I think few kids are going to follow Dillingham to Tempe.

I am a Blockhead, a Bumbling Buffoon...or am I Brilliant?
Once in a while, I make a confident prediction... and I'm right --- once in a while. But when it comes to CFB, I'm pretty sure that I'm wrong than I'm right. But regarding Dillingham, I could not see how a 32 year old guy, who was born and raised down in the Tempe area, went to ASU, is highly thought of, and whose roots run very deep in the Valley of the Sun, would possibly turn down the opportunity to take over as ASU head coach... if it was presented to him. I also knew that for over a month, KD's name was at or near the top of the ASU list. My only question was would ASU formally offer him the job, with the right package. ASU does not really have the option of attracting a known proven head coach right now. Because the program is in such disarray at this point, there is very little downside for Dillingham in taking this opportunity. If he succeeds, he'll be a rockstar. If he doesn't, I don't think it will cause his stock to fall. 9 years ago, KD was a 23 year old high school OC at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale. 9 years later, he's a Pac-12 HC. Quite the meteoric climb.

Hate To See This--Duck Player Punches Beaver Fan After Game (Video)
You don't get to punch fans for getting in your grill and saying mean things... not without usually receiving major repercussions. But if the clown-fan laid his hand on Johnson first, then it's a bit of different ballgame, at least from a legal perspective.

Shaw Resigns From Stanford
Nothing but respect for Coach Shaw. I know three guys who played for him and they hold him with the highest regard and respect. He has represented Stanford, and the Pac-12, extremely well. Best wishes to him in the next phase of his life.

WSU vs Washington Predictions?
My prediction is that there will be a football game in Pullman Washington tonight. That's about all I've got. But go Cougs.

Dillingham Gone?
Give a 32 year old an incredible offer and contract to be the head coach at his Alma mater, and get to go home to the town you grew up in, and guess what? The guy is going to be gone. This would be about least big surprise in the history of surprises.

I'm just glad Oregon fans never behave like that. 😉

"Lanning Plays With Fire, Duck Fans Get Burned"
by Mr. Charles "FishDuck" Fischer - 11/22/2022 Nuff' said. Lanning Plays With Fire, Duck Fans Get Burned FISHDUCK.COM I should have written this article a month ago when I first felt strongly about it, but at the time I did not want to be a buzz-kill for Oregon fans.

GameDay Thread vs. Oregon State: Join Us!
Maybe. But certainly not the biggest in Oregon Duck history. We have almost never known what to do with a lead.

GameDay Thread vs. Oregon State: Join Us!
At least we are slightly better than average. There are worse things, I suppose. In all my years of being in Oregon fan, I can almost never remember us knowing what to do with a lead.

It's Time for a Respectable Name for the Oregon/Oregon State Rivalry
No offense intended, but while the mullet might be back in some corners of the nation, it will never be cool. Ever. 😉

Just to completely kill a dead horse here, allow me to make a wild & crazy non yoke recommendation: "Civil War"

Kenny Dillingham Has Talked with ASU
We've been down here for 12 years the ASU football program has been gone from floundering to a dumpster fire.

Canzano: Ducks-Beavers Rivalry Name-Game is Tired
Yeah... but you say that only because you are a reasonable and rational person. There does not appear to be a lot of 'reasonable and rational' making the rounds these days.

Poor Mario: 'Cane Fans Can be BRUTAL
I think I'll start sending the Miami athletic department a dozen red roses every year on the anniversary of when Mario announced he was leaving Oregon.

Poor Mario: 'Cane Fans Can be BRUTAL
In your very first game as Oregon head coach. How many college football head coaches can say that the very first play they called was a time out... before the game had even started. I will never-ever forget that. Talk about a bad omen.

Poor Mario: 'Cane Fans Can be BRUTAL
The comedian Steve Martin used to say that he'd have been a great football coach by keeping the other team guessing because he'd regularly punt on first down.

Canzano: Ducks-Beavers Rivalry Name-Game is Tired
Civil - sĭv′əl - adjective "Of or relating to citizens and their interrelations with one another or with the state." "Courteous; obliging; well bred; affable; often, merely or formally polite; not discourteous." The Civil War is the ideal name. The other creative aspect about these two words being used together is that combined, they are really an oxymoron. When it comes to this game, especially when so much is on the line, there is very little "civil" going on in this "war."

Kenny Dillingham Has Talked with ASU
Of course he's going to talk to them. Not only is he an Arizona State alum, but he grew up and started his coaching career here as well (at 21 yrs old, he was hired as the offensive coordinator at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale -- which is an excellent football school). But as others have pointed out, Arizona State is a complete dumpster fire. And with the looming sanctions, it's likely going to get worse, if it ever gets better. However, the attraction of going home and having the opportunity to turn around your alma mater's football program has got to be very exciting and appealing. In addition, the expectations are likely going to be fairly reasonable given the mess he would be trying to clean up in Tempe. At age 32, my guess is that if Arizona State puts a reasonable offer out there for him to take over as head coach, and a strong budget for his assistant coaches, Kenny will be outta Eugene faster than stuff runs through a Christmas goose.

Congrats to the Ducks From a Ute Fan
I was at the Pac-12 Championship debacle last year (well... a debacle for us Ducks anyway). We had a small group of fun Utah fans around us, and we actually had a good time with them... even though the pain poured down on us :-). They were football knowledgeable, and they were also rather generously merciful to us. After the game was completely out of hand, I learned that Utah had never been to the Rose Bowl before. That actually took a little bit of the sting out of our beatdown. Every fan base needs at least one trip to the Rose Bowl. It is still quite the wonderful event.

Lanning Plays With Fire, Duck Fans Get Burned
I don't think anybody is disagreeing with your statement, and few would want it any other way. But to Charles article, we can be very aggressive without running our QB multiple times per game, on high risk injury plays, straight up between the tackles. Particularly when our amazing O-line is opening up such great holes for our impressive running backs on short gain plays.

Lanning Plays With Fire, Duck Fans Get Burned
Respectfully, I disagree with this comment. There are some really good football minds in this forum and I think many knew/know that everytime you run your QB between the tackles, the risk to your QB goes up exponentially. And I think almost all of us know that repeatedly going to that well, might just cost you your season. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." And as President Bush once so eloquently added (and im slightly paraphrasing, "Fool me three times... well, there just ain't gonna be a third time." I think Bo's third run between the tackles was the Huskies cheap-shot way of saying, "well, there just ain't gonna be a third time."
