Smoke and mirrors. Draft deception. No chance he makes it that far down to the Seahawks.

Wright Still Finds Stanford Loss Wrong
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In related news, his 4.57 time in the 40 at combine was slower than Georgia’s punter. Wright had said he aimed to run in low 4.4s. Leaving early to draft may have been a mistake. -

Yes, how many of that 64% were checkdowns or behind the LOS -
Oregon Loses Another DB to the Transfer Portal
AllOregon replied to EastBayDuckDad's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This feels like it goes in the category of coaches telling the truth. -
I don’t mind the idea of the veteran presence, and appreciate the legacy despite some perhaps regrettable goings on during his high school recruitment. I do take issue with the article taking this as a given: “he can help open up the offense and draw defenders to him, it will give the other players more room to work”. Seems like a reach. 883 yards and 6 TDs in 4 years isn’t scaring any DC or CB. 2021 only had 18 catches for 286 yards and 1 TD.

Dillingham's Offense: "A System for Playmakers"

With that plus the already known fact that Lanning is an elite recruiter, THANK YOU Miami for paying us $9M to upgrade our Duck coach! -
I thought the same thing of Terrell. He also received better honors as a kick returner and WR vs CB. Either way, he is BLAZING fast.

Changing my opinion. Iuli comes to Oregon!

Also gonna guess both these guys pick Oregon

My guess says James to Oregon, Broadingham to FLA, Iuli to Miami, Miller to GA. So glad to get Jahlil! He is a baller.

And the walk-off overtime TD vs the Huskies, with a high school senior Kayvon in attendance. KT said that moment with the Autzen crowd noise is what convinced him to be a Duck.

Duck Fans: Oregon's Success was BOUGHT by Phil Knight
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Probably true. But at least 4 generations of Nordstrom billionaires are all UW graduates… OSU had Betty Crocker and Bozo the Clown as alums -
I can appreciate that this was at least part of the reason. I sense it wasn’t the only reason. This one hurts from what he and his brother brought as legacies of toughness and desire. That said, I am now stoked to see more speed. Must be why Dollars and Seven were convinced to stay by Lanning & Dilly in terms of that type of RB role in their offense. I am not convinced that Verdell is going to play…

Mario Cristobal REJECTED by Another OC Candidate at Miami
AllOregon replied to McDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
1. Chose to stay at…..Toledo 2. Chose to pass up raise to $1.8M 3. Chose to not have Mario as his boss who will keep thumb on the offense The word is out -
Dye also entering portal (and not NFL draft) suggests maybe he and Benson know something about Verdell’s return. Seven and Dollars also took portal looks. But I thought there was concern still on CJ’s injury? Unless they are that scared of Cardwell. Either way, maybe a good sign somewhere in this news…

330 Pound Husky Defensive Tackle, Taimani to Oregon?
AllOregon replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Agreed. With the way the puppy fans turn on their own (see Roberts et al) their proclaims of loyalty sure wring hypocritical. If I were a recruit and their family, that sour fan base would be a huge red flag. So let them chase good people away. Saw it firsthand. My kid was recruited at UW (not football) and despite being offered, went elsewhere because of the feeling of the whole culture. -
The author 3 separate times incorrectly takes it as a given that transferring to San Diego State and Mountain West is a step down from UW. “Sour grapes” much?! Aztecs won 12 games including over Utah. They won 10 games in the prior normal season (2019) including at UCLA by 9 points. Mountain West is 5-1 in bowl games including a beat down of Oregon State, who beat the Huskies. That same MWC team won at WSU, who also beat down UW. SDSU and other top MWC teams are absolutely > UW right now. Players and their families certainly think so.
