  1. Here is another data point for you all. Apple and Google have both seen declining profits in the last couple of years. Amazon is the only hugely profitable group among the three. So if any streaming service signs on the dotted line, Amazon and its 175 million subscribers have the juice. One the other hand, I have a dream. Let's call my dream The Nike Network. And it carries the PAC at 50 mil per team. Hahaaaaa........
  2. Let us all cheer that the Ducks continue to thrive on the recruiting front after a string of awful coaches. MH, WT, and MariOH-OH ... ye shall be forever forgotten.
  3. I agree. But they just signed a 5-star receiver, Joshisa Trader. (Although ... he is from Hollywood, FLA. So, hometown recruiting mamas may be at work here.)
  4. So ............ did you open it? Maybe it was an offer for him to appear on the show Truth Or Consequences.
  5. Right or wrong, keep in mind that JC is not reporting. He is speculating ... my least favorite activity.

  7. Good eye, LH!! The left tackle looks to be THE top tackle in this year's graduating class. His name is Jordan Seaton and he IS interested in OBD (but Georgia as well). Here is the USA Today article. No. 1 interior OL Jordan Seaton names top schools UGAWIRE.USATODAY.COM Jordan Seaton ranked as the best interior offensive line recruit. He puts UGA in his list of top schools. The right guard is Jordan Harrison. Just a sophomore, he also has some D1 offers. Jordan Harrison is a 6-3, 285-pound Offensive Line from Washington, DC. 247SPORTS.COM summary
  8. Charles, thanks once again for illuminating what is going on with the Mint Defense that DL is building. Freaking good article.
  9. Cannot view twitter feeds anymore without membership. But thanks.
  10. You guys are 'almost' getting me to join twitter. But, naw, not yet.
  11. The appellation, Bruise Brothers has been used in a number of sports (wrestling, NBA, etc.) The original name was applied to the defensive line of the San Diego Chargers (my much loved hometown team), ca 1980. They were Fred Dean, Gary Johnson, Louie Kelcher, and Leroy Jones and were among the most dominant, fearsome lines in football. Perhaps we can find something original like the Crush Crew, Havoc Homies, Green Meanies () or ... What can you come up with?
  12. Projections are like speculations which are like opinions which are like ... well, you know the thing. Everyone has one. I believe Kel'el Ware had similar projections last year. Proof is in the performance. Hoping for Evans to conquer the 'projection'.
  13. Colorado coach Deion Sanders faces foot amputation risk WWW.USATODAY.COM Colorado football coach Deion Sanders continues to be hobbled by foot discomfort stemming from related problems in 2021.
  14. Hey! Welcome back, PD! I'm so glad to see your screen name again. I know it takes a while to overcome what you've been through. Here is hoping you will be good as new, soon.
  15. If this game is any more dramatic than game 1, I may have to have my defibrillator battery replaced. Indeed, these Ducks have turned me back into a baseball fan. GO DUCKS!
  16. Yes. Ok. St. and Udumb were seen as big challenges for this small school. So, what happened? ORU went out and had 13 hits against Ok. St.'s decent pitching staff and had 24 hits (and FOUR homers) against our friends to the north. This Eagles team is likely going to be a big bite to chew for our boys.
  17. Scratching my head, with a little grin on my face, wondering what ever happened to the ADVERTISERS paying the freight on sporting events. It almost seems like they have gotten a message that still eludes conferences and their media partners. Ah ha. This economy is most certainly a down turning one. Somewhere in the bruhaha of this media circus-of-insecurity lies a reason ... more than that it is all tech or subscriber driven ... for a rush to streaming. "Save us, they screamed!" to Mother Streamer. I'm pretty certain there will be some winners ... but also big losers and collapses in this business in the not-too-distant future. Kinda like the U.S. debt, the cost of this business of collegiate sports broadcasting can only get so big before it will eventually face plant on itself.
  18. Great article. Thanks, Joshua. Great analogy, by way ... peanut butter and jelly. Haha ... I can hear the locker room now. "Great TD, Peanut (or Butter)!" "Awesome run, Jelly!" You may have created a monster, JW.
  19. The old db in me hated those enemy big dudes crashing down on me ... but the receiver in me loved my own big bruisers. There should be a federal OL Holiday. Thanks for another fine analysis, Coach B.
  20. Great rewind, Charles. Thanks. Those were years that must be remembered. Have a great Memorial Day, everyone.
  21. After watching all of the tournament games, I just might become a baseball fan again. Those were great, dramatic games that led to beautiful outcomes. Does anyone know what the four pitchers' injuries are? It seems like I recall that Stoffal has a blister on his throwing hand. If so, he has a decent chance of returning for the NCAA's.
  22. Indeed, Klatt and his statements are head shaking and mind numbing. I agree with all you say mrspenney, but with one exception. Congress has a deep record of putting in controls that not only save nothing, but they also make matters worse. I suppose it's 'possible' that they save collegiate sports. Even a blind squirrel ..........
  23. You bet ... assuming he stays for the entire season. Ha, I guess he will. I think he's out of transfers.
