  1. Ah, 'projection'. The sloppiest form of blame when you're the one doing it. 😄
  2. So, this gets asked every couple of years. And being that I'm 9/10ths the way to ancient, I think I can be forgiven for my forgetfulness. I've wondered why he's counted with 2025 commit ratings when he is going on a 2-year LDS mission? He won't be on the team until 2027. Also, when does he begin to count against the roster limit of 85? '27, I assume. So many questions. So little brain left ...............................
  3. I hope there's a football field in heaven. RIP Khyree. 🧎‍♂️
  4. Can OBD Snag Nation's No. 11 Receiver? Commitment Announcement Today. 4th of July Duck Fireworks? Oregon Football Finalist For 4-Star Wide Receiver: Commitment Announcement WWW.SI.COM The class of 2025 recruiting is starting to heat up with the summer months in full swing now. The Oregon Ducks now have their eye on 4-star Donovan Olugbode. T
  5. Rivals indicates that there are a number of blue-chip players with a lot of interest in OBD. Recruiting Rumor Mill from the UA Future 50 OREGON.RIVALS.COM Keisean Henderson will only consider schools that vow to keep him at quarterback.
  6. And we also kept him from Kansas and Kansas State... ‘The sky is the limit’ for Derby football top-recruit Dasaahn Brame WWW.KSN.COM Derby football’s DaSaahn Brame is still in the early phases of his high school career. 7. Four-star tight end Da’Saahn Brame commits to Oregon Ducks WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Brame is the third recruit to commit to the Ducks in less than 24 hours. OBD are on an amazing recruiting run.
  8. Yeah, 'tis funny that U$C must have plenty of dough for offensive players but not defensive. Gosh. Gee whiz. Mean ol' NIL.
  9. Didn't Terry previously decommit from Georgia? And it seems this guy has upcoming visits scheduled for both U$C and the Dawgs. 🤔 Kids!
  10. Finding Hidden Gems in Horse Racing History | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM Horse racing, often referred to as the “Sport of Kings,” is steeped in rich traditions and captivating stories that span centuries. While many are familiar with… I am surprised to see an article at FishDuck on horse racing. Surprised and delighted. I realize that there likely are certain sponsorship reasons for the piece. But still, I was delighted. OregonReigns did a lovely job at presenting information. Thank you, sir. I take only a minor exception to the article. While Secretariat was a great horse, he won the Belmont Stakes (by the mentioned 31 lengths), he did so while running against a batch of allowance grade instead of legitimate stakes/derby quality horses. (The latter mostly retreated from competing with Secretariat.) That particular race fomented in me a desire to understand equine racing. I spent many years on the hard seats of racetracks, concluding with a book written 15 years ago. All thanks to the beautiful horse, Secretariat. Again, fine job, OR.
  11. I met Bill in 1991. He was on crutches with serious knee issues and surgeries. He was at a Ralphs grocery store in San Diego shopping with three kids ... who are also now successful in their own right. (He was toting a baby on his arm which I take was Luke.) And, ironically, I actually worked for Bill's father. Bill said his time with bball was worth all the pain he had. He truly loved the game. I asked him about his time in Oregon and he lit up. If not for San Diego, he said he would move to the NW. He seemed quite at ease and friendly and not at all the eccentric that he became on game broadcasts. RIP Bill, and condolences to the Walton family.
  12. Iamaleava committed to UCLA on Saturday. Madden Iamaleava, 4-star QB recruit in 2025, commits to UCLA - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Quarterback Madden Iamaleava, an ESPN top-100 recruit and the younger brother of projected Tennessee starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava, committed to UCLA.
  13. Ah, yes. Polonius. "Brevity is the soul of wit" as he drove his daughter Ophelia to ... suicide. Complicated character whose wisdom was a bit suspect.
  14. You were a brilliant writer, Duckster, and likely a beautiful person. Rest peacefully and know that all of us here appreciate what you brought to us. I hope you are now in God's warm embrace. My condolences to the Duckster's loved ones. Peace to you, always.
  15. Well, here's a little reminder for our friends in good ol' South L.A. The U$C school's motto is (tadaaa): Palmam qui meruit ferat! And for those of them who haven't taken Latin (what do they take at U$C?), this means (another tadaa): "Let whoever earns the palm bear it!" I guess they must be down there bearing their palms right now. 😂
  16. Oregon Football News: Ben Roberts, Collin Gill Enter Transfer Portal WWW.SI.COM Which Oregon football players are entering into the transfer portal?
  17. Chavez ‘Sandman’ Thompson, 3-star offensive lineman, decommits from Oregon WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Oregon lost a commitment from its 2025 recruiting class.
  18. Savage, Holden, and Mixon hurt. Ugh. But otherwise, it was a fun and productive scrimmage. The Ducks looked great, and it was fun to watch Travis Dye leading the Shout dance once again.
  19. Just noted ... an ex-Duck, Trey Benson, went no. 66 to the Cardinals.
  20. Brandon Johnson was expected to be on campus later this Spring ... if he's not already there.
  21. Thank you so much for your tireless work, Kim. Loving embraces from all of us at OBD. You will be sorely missed. May your God's love hold onto you always.
  22. Those attorneys down in South Carolina sure do know how to write. 'Twas a great article Jon, as usual. I'll echo Smith's love on the article ... much good research, funny as he!!, and perfectly presented. Thanks for making my morning coffee time more enjoyable. By the way Jon, do you have a Boston accent or southern? 🤔
  23. My concern is not so much the dismal record of the recent teams, and definitely not the quality of players. What gets me is the enormous, outrageous turnover in players (and staff). And some of these are excellent basketball talents. It seems that there is something afoot in the program and no one is spilling the beans about it.
  24. I have yet to see a one-on-one interview with any of the departing players or their friends. I don't see that any reporter has dug deeply into these folks social media posts. (Being that this is the forte of writers such as John Canzano, he who particularly enjoys writing hit pieces on the Ducks, I'm surprised.) The Fall of the Lady Ducks will be nothing but speculation until we see a public expression of this basketball demise. (They may exist, but I haven't seen any.) For me ... I don't particularly care to know the reason. I just know that the poor seasonal performances are mounting. I don't really care about Coach Graves past record. I'm of the what-have-you-done-for-me-now crowd. If a corporate CEO made millions for another company, and only tens of thousands for our company ... but has lost millions over the recent years ... well, what would you do?! Even though it will be costly to UO, I certainly hope we awake tomorrow to find an end to the train wreck and engaging a new and worthy coach.
