GameDay Thread of Notre Dame vs. Indiana!
Wishful thinking on my part, so much for an upset. Is notre dumb actually good or IU over rated? Just a bad match up? A bunch of ES(EC)PN picks have Oregon over ND in the final, or Oregon over GA

Oregon Football: Meet Dillon Thieneman
This was only Lanning's 3rd season. Mari recruited a lot of high talent but many were not a good fit (Noah Swewell???). The traditional prep signings are high level, but takes time to develop. I think we'll see fewer portal additions this year than the last 2, and more of the traditional prep recruits being the mainstays of the roster going forward. Keep up the top 5 classes every year (DL will) and the portal will be more of a tool to plug a few holes with proven veterans, not every position group. 5* will be common in the future

2025 B1G Recruiting: Elite Results, and Then a Cliff…
The cliff makes our conference schedule easier year to year. We've had good O-lines, getting a 5* or two there would be nice, but Penei was only 4 stars...4* developed is just as good, some 5* players never pan out...Lache Seastrunk, or the DT from Hawaii who played what, 4 snaps as a Duck? Our D-line quality and depth right now is why we are #1 and have a good chance to be #1 on January 21st, the only date this season where a ranking matters. Getting at least 1 5* on D-line a year is my biggest recruiting want

So...Lanning's Wins Officially Passed Chip as HC at Oregon?
Chip was 46-7 at Oregon. 33-3 in Pac-12 so 37 surpasses Chip in conference play perhaps but not overall wins

Not a good 3rd Quarter start. Starting to wonder how good our coaches really are at making Halftime adjustments and the play calling here is starting to feel suspect. But what do I know I don't make 9 million dollars a year

If this was Chip/Helf we'd win 59-10. We're #1 and they are bottom dwellers, 59-10 seems right but we score 35-38 every week. Left logic behind with 38 last week and was top 3 in this contest. Going out on a limb here... Oregon wins of course 42-14 2 take aways 5 sax 358 passing yards Backups play all 4th quarter

Starting to feel like we play Mari prevent offense in second halfs. And, when they blitz we falter. Teams will see that going forward. Do we not make good second half adjustments?

Is This the Best Oregon Defense Ever?
Crap 12 offenses scored more, it's not really apples-to-apples. But...Lanning is building an SEC modeled program with both smash-mouth plus speed on D, and the new era offense (even Saban ditched the B1G style offense. His first Alabama championship was just better players than the other team's brutes). We're built to compete with anyone.

Yeah up 35-3, but starters still in...no offense in 3rd quarter, but a pick. And Harmon...feels like we aren't closing games. 4th quarter should have been a full backups session and starters resting for Michigan. Dante Moore should be getting reps.
