  1. Oregon wins of course, 66-17 4 take-aways (no turnovers by us) 5 sacks, none for our QB's 414 passing yds (311 rushing)
  2. Agreed. Hopefully the secondary gels, it's early and lots of new faces, it should get better with the talent level, hopefully Hawaii is a chemistry builder. As the high 4* and hopefully more and more 5* recruits come in, this D can be elite. The questions about Tosh and his true role, and if it's actually a liability--linger for me. Colorado, mutts, and USuC will require big output from the Offense, as well as continuously improving D. Speaking of the Offense, while Charles has pointed out losing 4 starters, yet with transfers we have more career starts with this group actually...we had our share of penalties, though not all holding...but, it seemed like we got pushed around a bit. I'm hoping that is a chemistry thing too with all the new guys/new roles. TT was a tough road environment, and PSU was not a legit measuring stick for anything. Improvement on the O-Line and Oregon level running game needs to show up in the Pac, although TT may have actually had one of the better D-lines we'll see this year. Stein's play calling was a bit of a concern--some of those 3rd and shorts were reminiscent of Cristbal's super predictable pistol plunges that got stuffed repeatedly. The second QB sneak, and the Jordan James run late where he failed to even go down inbounds to keep the clock going, from what looked like 13 personnel--I saw that play fail before it even began. C'mon Stein, let's see the UTSA innovation, you have the talent! CK woulda spread those out and had some kind of triple option play that gets that first down.
  3. My thing is, I like the all black, the all white, some of the silver/chrome etc, BUT...I want SOME green and SOME yellow on EVERY uniform, regardless of sport. Just outline the green numerals on the all-black with thin yellow piping, etc. Green facemask, yellow cleats, wjhatever
  4. Jon, just keep that defibrillator handy...hopefully it will not be a close game. Oregon 66-24
  5. Once again I can live with it, but why can't there be just a splash of yellow somewhere too? Maybe just the Nike Swoosh or something. They do look fast...may we play fast and win big
  6. TT comes in late in the 3rd quarter because Oregon already leads 56-14 over TT. We do a TT (Texas Toast) to our friends in Lubbock after our TT victory (Tasty and Tantalizing). TT converts on T&T (or Th & Th? Third and Three) twice with great decision making on a garbage time drive that ups the score to 63-14 while our backups on D look really TT (thirsty and terrorizing)
  7. Shoulda done a prediction for PSU...I mighta won, I was thinking 84-0. So I better play this week: Oregon wins 63-24; 3 take-aways (no turnovers for us); 3 sacks (finally!) 344 passing yds: Oregon 63-24; 3,3,344
  8. Obviously we saw a vanilla playbook against PSU. Can wait what else he has up his sleeves! Hey Jon, you convinced me to switch my pre-season predictions about FSU winning the ACC to LSU contending with GA for the SEC. I shouldn't have listened to you!
  9. Would like to see some sacks! But...maybe a vanilla D just like the O...no need to reveal the whole playbook against PSU. What I really like is that legit playoff contending teams beat FCS teams by scores like this. Cristbal's teams would have won this 42-24...
  10. Good thoughts, was this written before the Red Raiders went to Laramie? Hopefully Nix and the Ducks will travel well, it's 2 time zones away and Lubbock is in the middle of nowhere but it is Texas football, and the stadium will be full. Trips to Seattle and Salt Lake will be tougher tests for a lot of reasons, but last year was a much different team and what happened against GA and the bark ratts with an injured Bo Nix are like apples to oranges for me. What I saw against Portland St, even though it was Portland State, is that we have a lot more depth and the Lanning system on D is rounding into form. Even the O-line, which has been a worry to talk about for many folks with 4 new starters, not only has more combined career starts than last year's, but our backups may be the best group of 2's in that position group that we've had in a long time. The final iteration of the Pac 12 is 13-0 right now. It will be a grind at home or on the road. GO DUCKS!
  11. During the Mari no Cristbal years, games against schools like Port St would be like 45-24... not the score you should have if you are really a top 15 team. This is more like it.
  12. It's really cool, but my one gripe has always been, I'd like both some green and some yellow on every combo. A touch of green somewhere...
  13. 15-0. Defense will be much better, enough so that our potent offense will outscore USuC twice, LSU in the semis, and Georgia in the finals. Just need to hold them under the point total our offense racks up. Last time I checked, if you score more than them, you win. Natty.
  14. Might have to beat USuC twice...once in Vegas. Could be our D slowing them just enough for our O to score more. I am thinking the Stein offense will be prolific, their D not quite that great. So fully agree, pass rush will be so huge this year, up the pressure, and turnovers are always important. Pass rush will improve the number of off throws we can pick.
  15. A lot of wealth to spread around. How about team totals of 62/54/42. Scoring offense and yardage offense, #1 and #1. Pac 12 title, CFP, semifinal win...how about 15/0?
  16. Oregon's offensive will break the all time ppg avg and total points in a season. Bo Nix wins the Heismann and O'Brien, Manning, Camp, etc. 12-0, beat USuC for the second time, in Vegas, 13-0 Oregon gets the 2 seed, beats LSU 52-34 in the semifinal, as GA beats tOSU in a close game in the other. Natty: Oregon 49, GA 35 55.8 ppg 566 ypg Just 6 turnovers all season, Bo just 2 INT, both the receivers fault Defense is great against the run, way better than last year against the pass 24.2 ppg 364 ypg 25 picks (3 for six!) 19 fumbles recovered, 44 take-aways! Season turnovers +38, all time record. Caleb Williams 6 picks in 2 games against Oregon, Penix has 3, DJU 3, Shough 2 '24 class finishes #3 with a late influx of 5* kids, '25 class ends up with 8 five star kids and finishes #1
  17. Literally depends on whether the game is officiated by Crap-12 refs?
  18. Again, these things are always SO based on LAST YEAR. Final top 25 won't be anything like this. What's the word on the Utah QB and the ACL? They lost a lot to NFL/Graduation. I think Utah is over-rated especially if mustache-QB guy is out for a while
  19. There will never be any question now about who has the best uniforms in the B1G...or all of college football. For over 20 years it's been all Oregon at #1
  20. Gives us a chance to play the barkrats annually, but existing non-conference agreements could get in the way for a while...eventually the civil war could resume. Then, every year we can still have one cupcake donation game to some FCS athletic departments budget, at Autzen. 6-7 home games a year
  21. Novosad was a 3*, then upped to 4* after the season, Ducks coaches seem to have a good eye for talent, and developing...this is huge. I saw one ranking of all time Oregon QB's recently and how they rated coming out of HS. (Mariota was nowhere near the top 15 of that list, Ty was #1 and only 5* QB we've ever landed). I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the #2 spot this season. Hopefully he and Ty both play against PSU and Hawaii...and more as we rack up huge scores with our offense, and our improved D creates insurmountable leads, even in conference games this fall. Don't worry about burning the redshirts, get the talented new kids real game time when able. Bo will be gone, give the worthy #2 QB max reps when safe to do so
  22. Indoor football practice, Indoor Track World Class Venue and World Championships capable size.
