Herbstreit brought up Chips nickname, while he coached at Oregon, on Gameday. Chip was known for his inovative and gutsy play calling. Did Chip lose his Big Balls during his pro career or did they remain on the Oregon campus undecended until now. Firsthandedly experiencing the excitment of Oregon football in soldout Autzen Stadiom brought back memories of Chip a decade ago on the winning sideline. Watching the surprise onside kick and recovery by the Ducks I came to the realization that the Big Balls had decended and reside on the Oregon sideline. They are DOUBLE D size and belong to DAN and DILLY.

Actually we're 1 and 1. 2013 beat Washington State and 2014 lost to Arizona. 2014 was the year we played in the National Championship Game, embarassing Florida State in the playoff and losing to tOS in the final. Not a bad year for wearing pink numbers on the uniform in one game.

They didn't announce at the stadium, but the post game radio stated 52,000+. The student section was packed, a few empty seats in the nosebleed sectionon the south side. There was only 80-100 Stanford fans.

Koke took over for Zimmerman 23 years ago leading the team out on the field with the roaring Harley and the Duck hanging on with all his feathers. One game the throbing Harley starteled a Ref who threw a flag. A penalty was assessed on the kickoff. Thanks Doug. Enjoy your retirement.

We hadn't had a chance to visit Hayward Field. What an outstanding facility. After 27 years season ticket holder I think I deserve those cushy seats with cup holders at Autzen. Hayward Hall is a dedication to Pre, Hayward, Bowerman, Dillinger and all the champions in Track and Field. We had dinner at The Wild Goat, smoked prime rib night, pretty, pretty good. The Faithful will show up just to see OBD beat the Tree. Students are back in school and will be rowdy having all day to party. We will miss some Portlanders not wanting to travel late at night. Last week was announced a sell out at 54,000+. Kelly's teams would sell standing room only with 60,000+.

Every week OregonLive does a rundown on past Oregon players at their new team. Has anyone ever done a list of past Oregon coaches that continued coaching and their success. A good historian could start before John Robinson and McKay. We remember Jeff Tedford at Cal and Musgrave and Frost. Oregon has a long coaching line. Who do you remember?

I am a man of few words and concise thoughts. Yesterday in a fit of disappointment I simply posted "BO PIX". This morning after reflecting on Bo's 468 yrd performance in the winning effort at the Palouse, I hereby rescind any derogatory inference in that post. One of my favorite moments in Autzen was at the 1990 BYU game. Ty Detmer on his successful Heisman campaign was sacked in the East end zone, where I was sitting. Two Duck fanatic's jumped over the wall and unfurled a sheet that was appropriately tie dyed with the lettering "TY DIED IN EUGENE OREGON". Let's do it again.
