  1. I agree the Uni's look nice, KR dropped the Mic on this one though! cracked me up!!!!
  2. This is great Charles. It gives one thread I can consume a ton of Ducks news in, no more surfing the Web for Ducks news... just straight to the FishDuck Feed It makes more room for discussion on articles. Davis Marsh's article for tomorrow, and your coming articles will stay up on the front page and be easy to find. It will also keep the current trending discussions up towards the top of the page, so they are easy to find and follow.
  3. These three teams look to be the only in FBS to have the OLB and ILB starters all be Top 100 Recruits. While all three teams look to have a pair of five-stars starting in the group, Oregon is the lone team with a pair of five-star starting inside linebackers. As far as NC State being rated #2, that is based of tackle numbers- the group are mostly three-stars. Oregon is going to need some big time LB recruits to replace this talent. Position breakdown: All you need to know about the top 12 linebacker units WWW.ON3.COM Here are the nation’s 12 best linebacker units, as well as the top group in each league and the top three linebacker transfer classes.
  4. He's a blue-chip and I say we stack them chips as deep as we can! Regarding the FishDuck Feed, it's already changed how I consume my Ducks news. I browse the Feed several times a day!
  5. This is what I think is the most important part. We Duck fans know what bad QB looks like and Bo has been bad for 3 years and 34 starts. Unless Bo makes a big jump there is no sense staying with him if his play is below average. If that's the case, then let's see if one of the young guys can be a good QB. I'd rather watch Ty take his lumps than watch Bo not be good again.
  6. Good post, this guy needs to see it to believe it.
  7. Bo's freshman year wasn't his best year, look up his career stats. Bo's freshman pass completion was 57.6%, yards per pass 6.7 with a 125-passer rating-- compared to Jeff Lockie 2015 at 61% completion for 5.9 yards and 119.5. I don't care if that is Pac-12, SEC or powder-puff.. those stats aren't good! Contrary to the narrative Bo's O Line was bad they ran for over 200 yards against Oregon in 2019. They had offensive tackles go in the 4th and 6th round. They ranked #38 in total defense led by two NFL picks Marlon Davidson 2nd round and Derrick Brown the #7 pick in the 1st round. on the D Line. Noah Igbinoghene the DB went late in the first round and DB Danile Thomas went in the 5th round. The fact is Auburn's defense and the O Line- running game carried the team Bo's freshman year and that defense did the best job against Burrow than any team all year. I'm highly skeptical that Lockie... errrrr, um, Nix is going to come in here and light it up.
  8. I agree but put the current Ducks defense in with them as we have around a top 3 SEC defense talent wise this year. Utah is always solid on D with less talent.
  9. If Nix gets the first three games and we are 1-2 then he should be done. If we go 1-2 and Nix keeps his job then I'll start to worry about Ty and Butters not being very good.
  10. Yes, and how often do five dudes go in a year? I'm not denying there are Dudes in the SEC, but I'm going to keep it real. How many 1st round picks from the SEC last year that weren't from Bama, LSU, or UGA? They are first tier teams. Then you have Texas A&M, Florida, and the Ducks talent roster compares to them. Kentucky, Tenn, Arky, Old Miss, Miss St, South Carolina, Vandy, Missouri- those teams are miles off Bama, LSU. UGA and they aren't pumping out multiple 1st rounders each year. None of those teams could win the Pac-12. The Top Tier SEC teams are good, but the bottom half put their pants on one leg at a time. I refuse to have an inflated view of the entire SEC based on off the Elite teams at the top.
  11. This is an awesome post as well, great points made that give good persective. I also had Butters #2 after the spring game. But I wouldn't be surprised if Ty really comes on this fall. Year one into two is where the biggest jump is usually made. Ideally, I'd like for it to all click for Ty and him to come out of camp as the #1 and for him to blow up this year.
  12. I respectfully disagree.. With all due respect, may I ask if you have a bias against the Pac? Or is it a SEC preference? Bo had the worst SEC passer rating and all 12 of the SEC teams do not have elite offensive lines, they can't all be elite. Here is some Pac-12 DB's for you, I think you may be surprised at the Pac dudes in the NFL on this list. Talyor Rapp, Byron Murphy, Budda Baker, Kevin King, Desmond Trufant, Sidney Jones, Marcus Peters, JoJo McIntosh, Ezekiel Turner, Jordan Miller. Those are Huskies from the last decade or so and all, but one was a 1st or 2nd rounder if I remember correct.? Charles has heard me say that Jimmy Lake was the best DB coach in FBS, and I stand behind that. In 2022 UW had Trent McDuffie taken in the 1st round, Kyler Gordon in 2nd round.... Is Molden back this year? USC had Taloano Hufanga go 2nd round in 2021. Ducks just had Jevon Holland go 2nd round, Lenior went in the 5th, Graham and Breeze in the 6th. all in 2021 off the same Ducks team that held Bo Nix 13-31 passing. Elijah Hicks the CAL DB got drafted last year.
  13. This is a fantastic post!! It's really what I think we as fans should expect of good QB play in Dillys system. Bo as a 4th year player in a better scheme with better players should be able to eclipse Herbs senior numbers. Herbs sophomore numbers in Taggarts Gulf Coast were YPC of 9.6, completion rate of 67.5% and pass rating of 167.5. If we get that type of QB play in Dillys scheme, we will be well over 40 points a game. Again, great post!
  14. I'm not buying into the SEC defense view and here is why. There were 5 SEC teams and 3 Pac-12 teams in the top 30 in the NCAA for total defense. There were 7 SEC teams and 4 Pac-12 teams in the top 50. Bo Nix had the lowest passer rating and third lowest completion percentage of the top 12 SEC QBs. Nix was rated a 3-star in the 247 transfer portal rankings, it's not just me who thinks he isn't that good of a QB. We can make excuses about the Auburn OL, WR but the fact is, Bo was one of the worst QBs in the SEC based on his production. I think the mantra that Bo faced SEC defenses overlooks half the SEC defense aren't elite and the fact the Pac 12 had some good defenses that he will have to face here. While I won't bet that Bo won't get the start in the opener, I'm far from convinced that he is much better than Ty and Butters. Bo had a better spring game, but the first play that went 70 yards to Seven was a wide-open easy throw. His TD to Thornton was against Jamal Hill who isn't a lock down guy and the tackle was missed on the sideline that let him score. The Spring Game was a small sample size to judge that Bo has this job locked up, and Ty and Butters have had three more months to learn the system Bo already knew. My gut is that Bo will start but that the other QBs are going to be right on his heels and if Bo don't play well, he will get the hook. I just don't feel Bo is going to establish himself as the best QB by a large margin because I don't think he is that good that he can bury Ty and Butters.
  15. Yes Sir. Mario ball is the opposite of traditional Ducks style We should score 40 plus a game
  16. Yes, he did have a boundary of what he was going to say, and he stuck to it. What struck me is he was amped up and out of breath coming in from the scrimmage. Lanning works up a sweat coaching. They could have asked better questions as to how the DL and LB's are doing in general with implementing his scheme. A question like that is probably going to get him to say more than pushing the individual players................ and is more important at this point
  17. Ahem! That's not an understatement you just said. It makes me really excited we have guys in a real QB battle.
  18. Two of the QB's threw a pick in the scrimmage today and I get the Vibe Bo was one watching Lanning's post scrimmage press comments. Lanning said tonight all the QB's can improve but he feels good that he has multiple guys who can run the offense and win with. Sounds like this QB battle isn't over and without the separation of one QB we could see a shorter leash on the QB then with AB last year. So, it's either good news we got a competition and more than one guy, or it's bad we don't have one standing out?
  19. Q: DO YOU FEEL THAT THERE IS A LEADER IN THE QB COMPETITION YET? DL: "I don't know. Everyone has had shining moments. I don't feel there is one who's separated themselves from the others. I think there's certainly room for improvement for each one of those guys. They've all had really good moments, and they've all had really poor moments. I feel really confident that we have quarterbacks that we can win with, which is a big positive. Q: Is the lack of a separation a good thing or would you like to have seen more? DL: "I like to know that you have multiple quarterbacks that you feel really good about. That's where I'm at right now. I feel really good about that right now. Q: How was the running back distribution for the day? DL: "It was good. Our goal was to be even across the board. I'd have to look at our numbers to see what they were like. We wanted to see what each of those guys had. We know what some of them have, but we were wanting to see each guy get touches and each guy get in the game.
  20. I never shared in the article with our Duck fans how the Miami fans have flow banners calling for the coach to be fired. There could be a day where Mario is doing poor and the forum gets a post calling... "Time to Fly the Banner" The Miami Hurricanes fans who flew the banners that got Al Golden fired WWW.ESPN.COM How anonymous message board members flew the banners that publicly shamed Al Golden, ultimately costing him his job.
  21. As the author of the article, I thank you for correcting me on the origins of the term "corch". Some of my fellow Duck fans and myself think the term is epic. I didn't know the westendzone was the OG to cainsinsight, though I'd heard cloaked references. Duck fans don't know the stories how Cane fans raised money to make a banner, rent a plane and fly it over the stadium during the game calling for the coach to be fired. I will say this, Cane fans are 1000% invested in their team. I need to find a banner pic to post. So, is the WEZ the OG site for Danny Boy Cane back before the bear attacked him, for him to only survive the attack but die from the swine flu the bear gave him? Some say "not one iota" of that story is true... RIP Danny Boy
  22. Devon Jackosn and Harrison Taggart both were listed 200lbs recruits and enrolled in the spring. Jackson at 214 and Taggart at 216 are a pleasant surprise to me. I figured they were awful small and would need year to grow, but they are both there with Bassa who is 212lbs. All three are smaller LB's but they will bring plus speed. Flowe is 220lbs and they had him listed as 235 last year? hmm.. so he lost 15lbs or did they pad his weight last year???? LaDuke at 236lbs and Brown at 235lbs are backing up Sewell... so, you can see the size between the two LB spots.
  23. Thanks for the article, Charles. Sean McVay has proven that young brilliant coaches can win a super bowl at 36. Now we have Dan Lanning who at 36 won a Natty as the DC for our head coach. Of all the hires for OC he could make he gets 32yo OC Dilly. These young coaches have gone through their learning curve and development recently, but they seem to never want to stop learning or evolve. Stagnation isn't a thing with them.
  24. haha.. I use that saying and HaywardDuck did yesterday.. who coined it? or do brilliant minds just think the same? lol
  25. The got him out on a naked boot twice, one of them he put the ball on the WR's numbers in stride. He ran 3 times on the drive, and he hit both his passes. They blitzed him up the middle and he took off around the end for a good run. I also like how they are getting MM out on the naked boots and letting him use his feet.
