Maybe it's more than just a ticket to a football game? I'd be very careful...

Someone mentioned on another site that it was not meant to be published, yet. Can Oregon's coaches offer Cam Ward a scholarship until he is officially in the portal, which doesn't open until Monday? And if he wasn't offered a spot, how can he accept?
-
He might not want to quit on his team when there is unfinished business. Although he's not starting, he could still be a part of something special. I'm sure that he'll weigh his options and make the best decision for himself.

If TT decides to transfer, I'll thank him and wish him luck wherever he goes (as long as it's not against the Ducks). He should have a lot of options. Stein would then have to get Austin Novosad, Michael van Buren or Luke Mega ready to back-up Cam Ward.

If Oregon wants to be elite, every player should be competing for their job every single year. Nothing should be given. If you aren’t getting better, you are getting worse. This makes Oregon a title contender again next season. With the offensive line, skill players and coaching, I expect big things from Cam Ward. Perhaps we’ll see some Oregon players who were on the fence about entering the NFL draft return next year, knowing that we’ll have a stud QB and another shot at the national championship…

Which Michael Penix Will Oregon Face Tonight?
OregonDucks replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thank you for providing the before and after stats. On 1080 AM Portland, after the Husky game, someone said that it was questionable whether Penix would be able to play in the last drive of the game against Oregon due to injury (ribs/core?). He surprised everyone by sprinting on the field. Penix is a warrior but he has been playing hurt. Oregon should go after him and hit him all night long. That's football. -
12 Team Playoff Will Dilute the Regular Football Season
OregonDucks replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This year is the exception, not the rule. There usually aren’t this many teams, so closely grouped together, with so little separation. You shouldn’t design a permanent solution based on one observation. Most years a 6 or 8 team playoff would suffice. -
Bo Nix was ranked the No. 3 transfer in the portal era by ESPN behind Caleb Williams and Joe Burrow. I'd argue that Bo has a chance to leap over Caleb in the next couple of weeks, which is mind boggling. "At Auburn, he was a legacy. At Oregon, he created one." Ranking the top 50 college football transfers from the portal era - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM We've reached the five-year anniversary of the transfer portal. There have been multiple Heisman winners and finalists and players who found stardom at other schools. But who has been...

12 Team Playoff Will Dilute the Regular Football Season
OregonDucks replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I guess I just have a different perspective than most on this board. The things that I loved most about college football were: 1) The traditions, pageantry and rivalries 2) The importance of the regular season (every single game mattered) College football is looking more and more like the NFL (without the parity) with free agency, NIL, super conferences, sidelining bands during games for DJs, introducing everyone on the field, playing games on the big screen, etc. Make no mistake, the only reason that the playoffs are expanding is because of the $$$$$. I believe that a champion should be the team that played the best the entire season, not just the hottest team in December/January. It’s only a matter of time before a 2 or 3 loss team gets hot and wins the national championship (e.g., 2011 NY Football Giants). That might be exciting to some but I don’t believe that it’s deserving. I’ll continue to root for Oregon but my interest in college football has diminished and will continue to diminish with all of the “improvements.” I’ll miss the PAC-10/12 and playing the winner of the Big 10 at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, after attending the Rose Parade on a clear and crisp Southern California winter morning. Hopefully the Ducks will win the conference championship tomorrow and play Michigan in Pasadena for one final Rose Bowl. -
