  1. I've heard this multiple times from people who I think know what they're talking about, but I still don't understand why. Is it because offensive lineman need to work together for years as a unit to excel ? Is it because there's potentially less NIL money offered for lineman, and thus transfers are less likely to leave their current program? Other reasons? And I'm assuming there's probably more than one reason.
  2. Oh, that poor child. I almost feel like I need to call the police.
  3. And let me clarify-- I'm the broken clock in this metaphor.
  4. Well, even a broken clock gets it right twice a day.
  5. I've had a PhD in clinical psychology for 20 years. I've seen a lot of clients and supervised a lot of therapists. I'm in a better position than most to gauge genuineness when I have enough data. I've been wrong before, and I will be wrong again. I don't think I'm wrong this time. And I don't engage in silly talk
  6. After all Lanning has said about staying put in Oregon, and the genuineness I seen in him and so many players have commented on, I don't think he'll take the Alabama job if offered. Maybe I'm naive, but in this case I choose to believe.
  7. I'm sure that Lanning & Co. realized this before the rest of us, and that people are working on an NIL deal that might help keep him at Oregon for another year. I hope it works.
  8. I liked what I saw in Novasad after his first series, but the offense would have struggled without Nix. Ultimately, I think we would have ground out a relatively hard win because we were deeper, bigger, and faster than Liberty. But I think it would have been a nail biter for a while.
  9. Bye Bo. Thanks for the memories!
  10. Isn't he such a nice man?
  11. Take a look at Dillon Gabriel's Oklahoma highlights on YouTube. I love the guy already!
  12. Thanks very much for the post, but the article is behind a paywall. I'd really like to learn more about this. Does anyone have a link that's not behind a paywall?
  13. I would assume the same people who gave the massive NIL money to Nix would also pony up for a guy like him. Especially with the Marcus Mariota connection. It's a great story and one that donating businesses would want to be associated with.
  14. THAT is my quarterback!
  15. Penix stuck his head in the sideline cabinet after Oregon's touchdown. I think he's broken. We've got this.
  16. Assuming Ward is transferring to Oregon, Washington State fans hatred of Oregon must rival Oregon State's hatred by now. We will have taken two of their best quarterbacks (Vernon Adams and now apparently Cameron Ward) in the past 6 years. Oh well. All's fair in love, war, and football.
  17. Looks like the CFP committee sees what we see in Oregon!
  18. It feels like a privilege to watch this team take the field every week this year. Can't wait for Friday night!
  19. It's heartening to see how both the AP and the coaches seem to see how lights out Oregon has been playing. Gives me some degree of confidence that the playoff committee will see the same thing. If we beat Washington and Florida State falls to Louisville, I would think that would give us the number three seed...... Meaning we likely wouldn't have to play Georgia in the first round. I like the odds of getting to the championship round in a scenario like that.
  20. I personally don't think so. We already have one or two highly rated quarterbacks waiting in the wings behind Ty Thompson. It looks like the Oregon coaching staff is good at developing quarterbacks, so why not stick with young ones who haven't already learned bad habits like Dante Moore? If we take in a quarterback next year through the transfer portal, it should be a veteran with a high upside, not a benched rookie who underperformed
  21. What a great deal. We got Bo Nix for 2 years, and he got his career rebooted!
  22. Oregon's next game is against Oregon. Go Oregon.
  23. I actually had a very similar reaction, and a sense watch that play multiple times.. I thought it spoke volumes about how how well Bo plays in all aspects of the game. He knew exactly how to read the defense. Both times, had a command of how much time is left on the play clock, and ended up running a play or Jordan James glided into the end zone completely untouched and uncontested. Bo is a true field general.
