  1. What a great deal. We got Bo Nix for 2 years, and he got his career rebooted!
  2. I actually had a very similar reaction, and a sense watch that play multiple times.. I thought it spoke volumes about how how well Bo plays in all aspects of the game. He knew exactly how to read the defense. Both times, had a command of how much time is left on the play clock, and ended up running a play or Jordan James glided into the end zone completely untouched and uncontested. Bo is a true field general.

  4. I've been following Georgia in the SEC. And, I'm a year early, but Utah will be my favorite team in the Big 12 starting next year.
  5. Up 10 to 6 late in the third, Ohio State goes for it on 3rd and 4th and goal and is stopped both times. Take the points, and deja vu all over again.
  6. I wonder if Oregon actually has enough skilled tight ends this year to pull that formation off. Any thoughts?
  7. Not yet, but I'm sure if he continues to become more physical he will be.
  8. I know all of us are fans of gutsy Oregon calls to go for it on 4th Down when it works. Two missed opportunities for field goals and going for it late in the game instead of punting this time. Different decisions on any of those could have at least led to overtime. For now, I will trust the coach to learn from this going forward. IMHO, Washington's defense was either better than any of us thought, or really rose to the occasion with the help of a raucous, loud home crowd. I'll leave it largely to others who actually get paid to coach for a living to decide whether Lanning took too long to adjust to that.
  9. Oregon's depth is going to win them this game. Up by 4 at the beginning of the 4th I can't help but think that their improvement on offense and defense in the last half of a quarter is due in large part to the fact that they're not as gassed as Washington.
  10. Charles, I'm as underwhelmed by this article as you are. Old reference, but it's warranted here:
  11. DUCatti855 There's been talk in the past of providing some kind of award for prediction contest winners on this side. For winning two in one season, I think you definitely deserve at least a token reward. In that spirit, I give you Bo Nix in actual space.

  13. I didn't think this Lanning team could come out so flat. But then, I often forget that these are just a bunch of young men. Glad that the defense and offense look like they're starting to turn it up to 11.
  14. Wow, Auburn up 10-0 against Georgia at the end of the first quarter. Could Georgia actually be mortal this year?
  15. I like that. I would prefer yellow instead of white on the jersey, but maybe you can't get away with that with an away uniform
  16. I love this article that Pennsylvania Duck put up on the Colorado pregame article thread. Lots of mutual respect between two coaches who have quickly made their teams better. Coach Prime has a ton of respect for Oregon and Dan Lanning DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders had nothing but praise for Oregon in his weekly...
  17. Notre Dame should always have an automatic bid for lists like this.
  18. I think it's folly, but I don't blame them. When you have something very good taken away from you, you fight to get it back........ even if it doesn't make sense. And then, when you realize it's not going to happen, you pick up the pieces and move on.
  19. That is a nice looking uniform. I kind of wish they would have saved it for the Colorado game. Something much closer to a traditional Oregon uniform against a bombastic, upstart, new age Deion Sanders team. But I'll take it.
  20. I wasn't paying attention at this level during the game, but it seems like a couple of posts on this thread state that Will Stein may not be giving Bo the same degree of leeway that Dillingham did for Bo to change the play at the line of scrimmage after he's seen the defensive formation. Did it seem like Bo called significantly fewer audibles in this game as compared to your average challenging game last year? Subjective call given just one game compared to many last year, especially if you haven't rewatched games and broken down the tape, but I'm curious.
  21. I don't want to hear any trash talk about Oregon's defense on this forum anymore
