Tell-me, Tell me: Fiesta Bowl Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Regardless of the outcome, I see a very, very young Ducks team that suffers hugely, both in talent and leadership, from the opt-outs in the defensive backfield.

They're game, they're talented, but mistakes hurt them.

And, Iowa State is really, really good on offense. Who can tell about their defense when they always have the ball?

Some will not be happy about this comment but I would bring back Helf--we are not prepared well

We will never be that desperate

First half: too many giveaways: Dye fumble on an inappropriate run call on 2nd and 20, Hold negating great Pittman TD catch, D J Johnson error in fielding kickoff.  Also, unnecessary targeting by our LB...

Too many mistakes. Mistakes on the defense and special teams. Lets see what QB2 can do in the second half.

Not denying that.  But, was in over his head as Head Coach, imho.

Chip called the plays. Helf was OC in name only.

3 turnovers.... No overcoming this against a solid team.

Wow, what a mistake prone team this is. Special teams is unbelievable. Katleman is the only bright spot.

Special teams don't appear to be coached or prepared!

we are not along way off from those days--things are not looking all that good.

next years freshmen will also be inexperienced. and so will the year after.

Its going to take at least 3 years to build a good team. I just wished and hoped this team was better and the future was brighter sooner than later

Looks like more just critical mental errors. Coaching can correct them and prepare them ... But the fact that they keep on happening is on both the players and the coaches.

Well...freshmen are inexperienced every year, by definition .

The bulk of the team,  more than 75%, has two or more years to grow and mature.

Chip Kelly would have gone for it.

MC would normally go for it... Th y shouldn't have punted. If they want to get back into the game they can't punt.

You can’t call this a well coached team.  Pull starting QB after going 3for3?  Fumbles, negating penalties?  Grade school special team errors?  Questionable play calling.  Sorry.  Wish it weren’t so.  Especially at these rates.

Wow...........can you say snake bitten.

This is ugly..........4 fumbles in the last 5 possessions I believe.

Lights out.

Put in a QB - which one I don't care - then stick with him.
