He's got to untie the shoe?

Mr. FishDuck

I'll do it for 500k a year....I consider myself an incredible shoe-tier...and I'd be a bargain.

Looks like coaching that third grade basketball team has trained him well for the moment.

I love how he doesn't see himself as "above that" and does what is needed in the moment. That is a leader right there.

"Note to self, first day of fall camp, Shoe Tying 101..."

I’ll undercut you Ktmguy2018, I’ll take $300K and I’ll pay my way to each game. I could use a $150K a year raise. I’ve got 54 years of shoe tying experience, that has to count for something.😂

DL can do it all ....

I think it was a coaching moment as well...

"JPJ, next game I think we'll go with velcro. And Bo says to not hike the ball as far as you threw your shoe"

DL:  "Well, here's the problem.  Stop making the bunny ears.

JPJ:  "But coach, that's all I know.

DL:  "Today is a new day.  Rooted in substance.  Let me teach you. "

"Will tye Shoes for pancakes"

That was a pretty funny moment in the game.  I was thinking, what the heck are DL, JPJ and the ref talking about?  A Bull Durham moment for sure.  Seemed like he gave them plenty of time!

Kay, I am having WAY to much fun with this but let's contrast what DL did with how our previous coaches would have handled it:

MC:  JPJ, tie em again...the same way

JPJ:  Coach, it isn't working

MC:  It will, IF you do it with more PHYSICALITY!!  That is all we need!!

WT:  Shoelaces?  Dang, don't need no flippin shoelaces in Florida.

JPJ:  Coach?

WT: Uhhh, oh yeah...Do Something.

MH:  Mmmmkay....well, this is a pickle.

JPJ: Coach, I just need to get my shoes tied.

MH:   Hmmm....what would Chip do?

I don't always tie a grown mans shoes. But when I do its for the fat man in the middle.

Stay salty Ducks

JPJ: "Coach? I need help here"

Coach: "WWCND?"

I'm not head coach of a D1 team, but as the head of the household I can assure you I have done more trivial things and things one would think are beneath me. You model what you expect from others, you don't expect or demand from others what you won't do.

Lanning is present, and modeling exactly what we want to see in these young men going forward. Seems like Lanning endears himself to the Oregon faithful with every little thing he does.

Lanning does a lot of big things for the program. It is the little things that add up to really big things!

Slip on’s baby!
