The bar is set pretty low for Lanning. And yeah, as someone pointed out, the fact that Smith is not in the Top 5 is a complete joke. fred flintstone No. 5 Share Posted May 8 Whoever wrote that list is not being fair. Of those I watch regularly, IMO the Illinois coach and Smith are better than ranked. Day, should be down the list in the middle. LR......the USC fans don't recognize yet that they hired a con man. DanLduck No. 10 Share Posted May 9 As with most lists, entirely subjective. DL has only 2 years to look at. 5 losses, 3 to the same team. All but 1 by 4 pts or fewer. In a couple years it will become obvious even to the B1G pundits that we have the best coach. In the meantime, let them underestimate us.
