Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 10-19)

Recommended Posts

We do NOT discuss last night's Oregon game here, as we had a separate GameDay thread for our game, but all the other games out there in CFB in this thread. (I will delete posts about the Oregon game, as we need to keep the discussions separate)

Do provide score updates for these other CFB games when you can, as well as your thoughts of what you saw.  A full day of DANDY games!

I am watching Indiana vs. Nebraska today because the Hoosiers have a great offense, and because if they beat Ohio State in the 'Shoe later--Indiana could be in the B1G Championship game!

Fun game to watch today is Michigan at Illinois.  OBD opponents the next two weeks face off at 12:30 on CBS.  Michigan is favored by 3 points.  Massey composite ratings have Michigan at #25, and Illinois at #36.

Shough vs. Mario should be a good one.

Wow... UCLA is leading Rutgers 7-0 in the first quarter.

Exciting times for Bruins fans!

It's supposed to be that a tough defense will slow down a great offense, Indiana's offense has been great, but Nebraska's D is the best that Indiana has faced this season. Indy goes for it on 4th & 2 , gets it and TD on the next play, the first rushing TD Nebraska has allowed this season.

The Fighting Mario's just gave up a 43 yard TD run and trail 3-7 in the 1st qtr.

Nebraska gets a very crucial 1st down to avoid punting from inside their own 5. But now they punt from the 12. If Indiana goes up 14-0 in the first 10 minutes...

Well, Indiana tries it again on 4th & 2, this time Nebraska sacks the QB for a yard loss.

No field goals allowed in Nebraska @ Indiana, Indy is 50-50 0n 4th &2, Nebraska just went for it on 4th & 2,  Dowdell fumbled, but was short anyway.

Talk about a surprise. Last year Indy was 3-9. This year, new team, new coach, now they're 6-0, with one of the best scoring offenses in the country.  Now it's 28-7 Indiana.

Indiana offense is legit.  Glad we don’t have to play them right now.

Nebraska is the classic B1G team that gets accolades for their defense, because they play a bunch of teams with no offense.

Their D is a bit above average, as Indiana is showing with their great offense.

And of course Nebraska with it's B1G offense, is completely incapable of keeping up, even if Raiola was fully healthy.

Indiana with the backups in now, got a turnover on downs, and drove for a score.

They are beating Nebraska worse than we beat Purdue.

Not going to lie... That sort of thing has me nervous. Is Indiana better than the Ducks?

They don't play head to head... But we'll get an idea when they play Ohio State.

I still feel like we leave too many points on the field.

TD, Louisville, 38-38.

Holy Hoosiers! 349 1st half yards against a statistically sound pregame D. Now, 49-7.

11/23 in Columbus could be very interesting. Indiana will be favored in every game on the rest of the schedule with the exception, perhaps, of the game in Columbus.

Cignetti is doing this like Prime in 2023 but with far, far better results.

I love Danno but Cig is the COY, to date.

Indiana only has cupcakes, and mediocre Michigan then Ohio State.

I think you have to finish 11-1 or better to make the B1G championship this year.

It's realistically down to us, Ohio State, Penn State and Indiana now.

Guess what? Call on the field is fumble. It was recovered by Louisville and returned for a touchdown. Call was overruled on review.

Miami will likely play Clemson in the ACC championship game. The ACC refs are going to be torn about who to cheat for in that one.

Yes, Miami is at it again, and Indiana should definitely be ranked higher than No.16. There's a great topic to discuss how they compare to the Ducks and Ohio State and how te season will play out here

Miami’s defense isn’t much better. Louisville has over 400 yards total offense.

Clemson is the best team in the ACC. Their1st game loss to Georgia will look even better after Georgia beats Texas tonight.

Illinois is dressed in Red Grange era uniforms, while Michigan continues to play like it's 1920. The Wolverines did attempt a forward pass in the last drive. Illinois leads, 3-0.

In defense of Illinois, Red Grange was a prolific scorer, especially in the era he played.

Illinois could have put the dagger in Michigan with that field goal, now lead, 6-0.

I’m going to be in the minority here, but Illinois’ uniforms are the best I’ve seen this year. The helmet makes the difference.

A defensive battle is the last thing I expected for this Tennessee/Alabama game.
