Posted November 16, 2024Nov 16 Administrator Let's discuss all the other CFB games of the day in this thread, and we do NOT discuss the Oregon game here, as we will have a separate GameDay thread for our game. (I will delete posts about the Oregon game, as we need to keep the discussions separate) Do provide score updates when you can, as well as your thoughts of what you saw in all the other games. We have a rich line-up of other games today such as Utah vs. Colorado to start! Mr. FishDuck
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Go Utes!!!! Go, Hogs, beat the Longhorns!!!! and it's ridiculous that they're playing at the same time as OBD, Go Dawgs, beat the Vols!!!! Oh and go 'Huskers, they're playing somebody. Edited November 16, 2024Nov 16 by 30Duck
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Ewers overthrow costs the 'horns a TD, next play he's sacked. Go, Hogs!!!
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Ack! Pass goes right through ARK receiver's hands, into a Texas DB's.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Hmmm, Ark's defensive plan was to cover Texas receivers until they got past the 5 yard line. TD, Texas.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Northwestern is outplaying Ohio State. 7-0 2nd quarter. Ohio State's defense looks slow today. Northwestern scoring drive: 92 yards in 5 1/2 minutes. That's domination. Edited November 16, 2024Nov 16 by Ktmguy2018
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Darn, big 3rd down conversion for tOSU, picks up momentum. That time on 4th down. Edited November 16, 2024Nov 16 by 30Duck
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Man I was all excited about an upset alert then Northwestern goes all Northwestern with a 3rd down fumbled snap followed by a blocked punt downed at the one. 14-7 tOSU. Buckeye getting out played but it doesn't matter.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Review can work! The Hogs receiver caught the ball, then as he was going to the ground, he lost control. But he regathered the ball and brought it in. It was called a catch on the field, review confirmed it.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Texas gets a fortunate bounce on a fumble, few plays later gets a touchdown. 20-10, off to another Saban, Prime commercial.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Anyone else finding today's slate of games to be a bit boring? Nothing major in terms of upsets at the moment.

November 16, 2024Nov 16 Fox spent the entire Colorado game today promoting Travis Hunter for Heisman. Makes me sick to my stomach buying into the hype machine.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator The Battle of the Ravine has gone to halftime. It’s the shortest away game in college football (563 meters). You can see each teams press box from their own press box. (12) Ouachita Baptist - 10 Henderson State - 6

November 16, 2024Nov 16 Moderator Final from Arkadelphia, AR. (12) Ouachita Baptist - 27 Henderson State - 20 This game was featured on College Gameday this morning for small school rivalries.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 I was thinking of it as the "Find a way to lose" or "nobody wants to win" bowl.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Air Force 21 Oregon State 0 About 12 minutes left. I think Air Force was 2-7 with one of the two wins being Merrimack.

November 16, 2024Nov 16 Beavis fans are going nuclear. Enjoy your bean-counting wars victory of 2024…it’s really making a huge difference.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Among the top comments from the Oregon State/AirForce game thread? "Jonathan Smith should be charged with arson for what he did to this program" "I have had root canals less painful than this!" "oh, so this is why Oregon State didn't invite AF to the pac12" "We may never score again" "Parker is running out of things to talk about on the radio. He will start talking about baseball soon"

November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator Mizzou just came back from 18 down to take the lead in Columbia, SC.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator Stanford just knocked off #19 Louisville. The upsets are brewing today.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator USC should not have won that game, their DBs did a TON of holding on Nebraska receivers in the last minute and none of them were called.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator U$C wins on a walk-off pick in the endzone where the Nebraska WR was the victim of blatant PI hold. Almost missing the Pac-12 officiating after watching a season of this garbage.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Was pulling for Nebraska. Wouldn't terribly mind the wheels come off at USC; but, they held on to get back to 5-5. USC appears to have a solid class; but, not a ton of guys (it appears) Oregon was really after (on the possible flip watch/wish list). 6-7.5 290 pound OT Aaron Dunn probably would be one though. November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator Georgia taking outright control of the game with just over 2 minutes left!
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Moderator Hats Off to a Bunch of Hairy and Determined, DAWGS! WOOF! Kirby Smart's Dawgs rise again: Georgia's statement win over Vols deserves CFP Committee's reconsideration - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM We know this win meant a lot to Kirby Smart, because we were there the last time he was left out of the playoff Why does the PO need a Committee when the Committee only counts losses and discounts head-to-head results and strength of schedule?
