Grandpa Duck No. 2 Share Posted December 30, 2024 Tez was effusive in his praise for Dante Moore! Also spoke confidently about team preparation for Wednesday afternoon.
OregonDucks No. 3 Share Posted December 30, 2024 Dante Moore throws a beautiful ball but his issue last season was his decision making. Hopefully he learned a lot this year from Coach Stein, by watching DG prepare and play and getting reps against Oregon’s defense. I’m optimistic that he could be a special QB for Oregon over the next 2-3 seasons. He reminds me of Darren Thomas but with a better arm. If he can put up DT stats and wins, I think we’ll all be very happy. DT is the most under appreciated Oregon QB of all time. He went 24-3 as a starter, with 2 conference championships, and came within 3 points of winning Oregon a national championship. 2 1 1

This is a massive relief, and would explain why we are not pursuing a portal QB. 1 1 2 Mr. FishDuck
PittDuck No. 5 Share Posted December 31, 2024 He got a priceless year of mentoring under a truly exceptional leader and playmaker. I hope he is able to give the Ducks two solid years and take us deep into the playoffs both years. 1

If so, yes, I, unfortunately, remember him well and would be terrified of him if I were an Oregon offensive player in the 2010-11 National Championship Game. He was a "bad man." Nick Fairley and Auburn's defense held Oregon's rushing offense, led by LaMichael James and Kenyon Barner, to 75 total net rushing yards. Hey, maybe Chip Kelly will decide not to block Jordon Burch, Matayo Uiagalelei or Derrick Harmon in the Rose Bowl. If so, I'll like Oregon's odds in the game! 1

He was the ultimate game manager. Not only did he not make critical mistakes, he rarely missed a read in that offense. He was a master in Chip's offense and executed it at a very high level. I still believe that if Chip had not been so stubborn in that game forcing the run in the first half and had unleased DT sooner to throw the ball all over the field, we would be sitting on a Natty right now. 1
anyotherduck No. 12 Share Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) Nick Fairley was extremely talented at committing personal fouls that wouldn't be detected by refs, even with the refs looking straight at the foul being committed! The Kamikaze Kid Moderator No. 13 Share Posted December 31, 2024 If only Chip had run the DT to the Mailman two point conversion play instead of four runs up the gut to nowhere on the goal line....... 1

Oregon’s defense played terrific in the 2010-11 National Championship game. Certainly good enough to win and much better than I expected against that Auburn offense. Hope our current defense can do the same.
