Posted 6 hours ago6 hr Moderator No. First, make sure to read Darren Perkins' excellent and humorous Bye Week article.Three FBS teams have not trailed in a game to date. Miami, Maryland, and Texas Tech. All three teams have challenging games today: No. 3 Miami (- 4.5) at No. 18 FSU; No. 11 Texas Tech (-11.5) at 5-0 Houston; and No. 32 Maryland (+6.5) hosting UW.Maryland is often undefeated in September, then October happens. Mike Locksley is 0-9 coming off a bye week and playing a Big Ten opponent. Long trip East for UW after battling with Ohio State in Seattle last Saturday.Terps vs. the Huskies will likely be the closest Big Ten game of the week.Penn State at UCLA, Michigan State at Nebraska, and Illinois at Purdue should be wins for the visiting teams.Home teams should prevail in Wisconsin at Michigan, Minnesota at Ohio State, and the Louisiana-Monroe Wart Hogs (!) at Northwestern. The only Top 25 vs. Top 25 games today are No. 3 Miami at No. 18 FSU, and No. 16 Vanderbilt (+10.5) at No. 10 Alabama. ( Hmmmm. I recall one loss, FSU defeating one loss Bama, no?)The one Top 25 team in action last night, No. 23 BYU, defeated Rich Rod and West Virginia.A lesser slate of games than Week 5, but strange things happen in CFB when least expected.Enjoy and get ready to Lite Up Cig!
4 hours ago4 hr Author Moderator No. Clemson: Take no prisoners! Leave no crumbs! 35 - 3 at half-time over the GOAT (?) and UNC. Perhaps the UNC AD should have checked Billy's record without Tommy before handing him $10 million a year? Oh, plus a couple of more million for Billy's boys and bosom buddy GM Lombardi? But off the field, there's been no embarrassing behavior, right?🤪
4 hours ago4 hr Author Moderator No. Michigan fans are calling NCAA HQ to see if Sherrone Moore's suspension can be extended. 🙃
2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. Watching Vandy vs Alabama. DeBoer decided to pass the ball on 4th and 1 instead of running it. Interception lol Go Vandy!
2 hours ago2 hr No. Wait... What? How is UCLA leading Penn State? 10-7 ... It may only be brief but that's a hangover form last week.
2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. Alabama misses their FG, still Vandy 7-0. They just might be DeBoer’s kryptonite team!
2 hours ago2 hr No. Looks like Penn State might lose to Oregon twice! They look like dead men walking. Edited 2 hours ago2 hr by Chas Man
2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. Bama, Texas and Penn St all trailing, upset Saturday? Allar doesn't look good and PSU keeps veering away from a successful run game. UCLA getting some push on their o-line and Nico has made a couple good throws. Now 24-7 UCLA. The PSU defense looks bad. Did OBD break them? At this rate the Oregon win gets significantly devalued
2 hours ago2 hr No. 2 minutes ago, GeotechDuck said:Oregon officially broke Penn State.Incredibly so... 24-7 and Penn State has zero signs of life. UCLA looks like a ranked team right now. Never mind that they are 0-4!
1 hour ago1 hr No. 4 minutes ago, EastBayDuckDad said:At this rate the Oregon win gets significantly devaluedYes and no... Anyone with eyes can see Penn State's locker room and coaches are completely and utterly shattered. They played with intensity and passion last week. And lost. And in losing the media noise has obviously crept in as most of the narrative has been one part good job Oregon and two parts wow Penn State doesn't have it.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Penn St is pathetically bad. No Offense and no Defense. Hope this doesnt drop our Ducks back 5 steps in the rankings.
1 hour ago1 hr No. 1 minute ago, Santa Rosa Duck said:UCLA is curb stomping Penn State 27-7 at the half.Teams can go two ways after a tough loss. Adjust and refocus and go on a tear. Ohio State did that last year twice after Oregon and more of after Michigan. Or Completely fall apart. Penn State is opting for number 2 right now. Not to say a second loss may set them right but they didn't take UCLA seriously. No win team... Easy win. Wrong ... This is college football no win is easy. They just can look easy.
1 hour ago1 hr No. These late kickoff times for Eastern teams like Penn State traveling to the West Coast can be problematic....
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. There's the UCLA we know and love. Two big sacks of Nico then a blocked punt and TD recovery. Penn St woke up at the half, even after giving up a fumble by their freshman TE on the first possession.27-21 UCLA
36 minutes ago36 min Moderator No. Alabama now up 20-14, they really do have problems with Vanderbilt!Florida showing Texas how limited they are as a team, up 29-14.Trying not to bust out laughing at the Fuskies, down 20-3 in the 3rd (they finally hit a FG).

This year hopefully holds true and does the same!
31 minutes ago31 min No. Was Jim Knowles tenure as OSU's defensive coordinator the zenith of his career? His Penn State defense looks a step slow and completely confused.
26 minutes ago26 min No. So, to this point, what is our signature win of the season? It's looking like it might be Montana State or Northwestern!
19 minutes ago19 min No. Penn State looks sluggish and in a fog. It's almost like traveling all the way across the country is hard on a team. Who knew? One could say Oregon's win is lessened by a Penn State loss to UCLA, but I think it shows how hard it is to pull off what Oregon did.
