11 hours ago11 hr Author Administrator No. Below are On3 comments about the upcoming game with USC...USC at OregonYou could make a strong case that nonsensical conference realignment was the biggest enemy to this sport, even more than CFP expansion, lack of NIL regulation and the ability to transfer with impunity. The sport doesn’t make sense anymore. But guess what? This weekend, we’re getting the Pac-12 title game. USC-Oregon, with CFP contention still on the line and it has nothing to do with the Big Ten race. Though USC still has an outside shot at winning the Big Ten, this is two West Coast teams playing a colorful game in Autzen Stadium to remain alive in the hunt. This is their own mini Playoff game against each other. Mr. FishDuck
10 hours ago10 hr No. If Oregon makes it into the college football playoffs, I would not mind (I) hosting a home game and (II) being on the other side of the bracket from Ohio State. Edited 10 hours ago10 hr by OregonDucks

10 hours ago10 hr No. If we win out, I think we land in the #5 or #4 spot. There is still an interesting scenario where Ohio St., Indiana, and Oregon all finish 1-2-3.I believe Texas A&M will lose to Texas which will open the door for Alabama to beat Georgia again in the SEC title game. Then it becomes a beauty contest between Ole Miss and Oregon for the #4 spot unless....Texas Tech trips up. Then Oregon and Ole Miss are fighting for the #3 spot. I don't see how a 2-loss Alabama climbs to #3 even with an SEC title.
9 hours ago9 hr No. 6 or 7 seed would be good. Get a good tune up game in December. The only team I have any real fear of right now is Ohio State they just haven't struggled but in turn they haven't really been tested either. I would just like to not play them in the second round. If this bracket holds true then Georgia in the second round would be tough but I think we have a team that could beat them. A possible rematch with Indiana would be interesting and I don't think it plays out the same it did in the previous game. Overall... I like the No.6 or 7 seed and that side of the bracket.
9 hours ago9 hr No. Not counting my chickens before the eggs hatch, but?Any idea how ticket allotment will work? Will season ticket holders be able to purchase their usual seats that they have during the season. I sure would like to sit with all my peeps that I have sat with for 30 years. I would hope the UO would see to it that we get first option. I'm afraid they are going to go with the donor points system and some rich donor will buy up all our seats before we get a chance to.

How OBD handles distribution? I hope there would not be a radical difference between the 1st round and the regular season.

It's November, weird stuff will happen, but it would have to get really weird for OBD to be seeded higher than 6th.6 or 7, give me this today and I'll happily take it. As Charles noted, the 2nd round opponent will be a tough out. I know it's likely to be Ohio State, but if the chips so fall, I prefer a second round game in the Rose Bowl instead of a game in the Cotton, Orange, or Sugar Bowl. A shot for payback in Pasadena vs. one of TOSU or Indiana. This time with a game in hand instead of a too long nap. Bring it on!
8 hours ago8 hr Moderator No. I see something like this prediction from SI. It would be great to get the Domers in the first round in Autzen.SIForde: College Football Playoff Projected Bracket After W...The SEC is still a five-bid league even with Oklahoma’s upset win over Alabama.
2 hours ago2 hr No. I'd be thrilled with Bama or Miami. And whoever we get, I hope it's 36 degrees and raining. Even dudes used to playing in snow would be complaining about how cold it is.
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. I don't think there is anybody out there the spells automatic L. OBD's D can keep them in any game and their run game is as serious as anybody's out there. Oregon's biggest problem this year has been making things too difficult on themselves by going away from what works and leaving too many points on the field.Back to back interceptions kept our O on the sidelines against Indiana and allowed them to build a lead when the run game was proving effective. Three drives in or near the red zone netting a mere three points kept the Iowa game way to close even though the run game was dominating. If the Ducks play and coach smart, they can hang with anybody.Win the next two and they'll at least have a first round home game and should be at least 50/50 for the next round. Can't wait for the SUC fans to cry us a river this Saturday.
