Great analysis. I think one thing being over looked is the stage factor. This is OBD’s third NY6 bowl in a row under Lanning.

TT will be facing all the grandeur that comes with that for the first time. Also, the Ducks have gone on the road to Michigan last year as well as the PSU white out this year. TT has had nothing comparable.

Throw in the tooth and nail scrap with Indiana and the car wash rock fight at Iowa and I think the Ducks will be more battle tested and that will be the difference.

That was a refreshing and genuinely balanced analysis. Both of them raised strong points, and it was difficult to find fault with either perspective. I would welcome a deeper, more comprehensive breakdown, particularly from sources that approach the topic without bias.

We'll see what happens January 1st. I would agree with everything they said but who had the tougher competition throughout the year? Graded as the best D in the nation but was the offensive lines they faced one of the best in either the SEC or the B1G?

I wonder if our linebackers are up to the task?

Anyone more knowledgeable that myself with thoughts on this?

I’m not that guy, but I never underestimate the ‘chip on the shoulder’ motivation created for our LB room by being ignored by experts and media as they shine the spotlight on those well-deserving TT LBs.

Bryce Boettcher was second team all-B1G for the second year in a row.

Mixon has a underrated speed, I have heard.

Only made it about 1 minute after he said Texas Tech has the best D-line in America. Sorry not buying it.

Having the Best D is skewed when you play substandard opponents. One needs to compare as close to like for like to get a balanced view. How many points did Indiana get against us? How many points did Ohio State get against Indiana? And vice versa.

Oregon's D line has been hogging all the tackles make the LBs stats look bad. Just kidding Boettcher had 113 tackles this year.

Great points all around.

My thoughts. Our run game will be key in establishing and maintaining long, sustained Scoring drives. I believe the ability to grind out 3-4 yards per carry between the tackles and 5-6 yards around the edge wewould be more than enough to wear down this stout TT Defense. Problem is TT doesn't give up nearly that many yards per carry albeit against slightly inferior and undersized opponents.

Quarterback pressure, on both sides, will be another key to how the game flows. Our D has done a good job of QB containment but not as many sacks as you'd like to see after 13 games. As pointed out TT QB doesn't deal well with pressure. Making him "uncomfortable' and speed the game up for him will be important in forcing mistakes.

Protecting Dante and giving him 3-4 seconds in the pocket and he will pick apart the TT secondary. TT don't blitz a lot but I fully expect several blitz packages to keep our O-line...on their toes...and give their free rusher several real shots at Dante. Not a whole lot of film on TT blitzing.

Lastly, Play Clean, Green and Yellow Ducks from Eugene, Play Clean.

Turnovers, Missed assignments and missed tackles, PENALTIES (especially those PI ones, late in games, that extend opponents drives by our Freshmen DB's), will be enough to sink OBD's run at a Natty for 2025.

This TT team is full of NFL caliber players, as is OBD. Play to the best of your abilities and Play Clean and it will be difficult for TT to find ways around our coaching and talent to beat our Ducks and move on in the Playoffs (Playoffs???) in 2025.

Dante Moore MVP of this game will be all you need to know that the Ducks won and move on. Win, or please No...Lose, this game should be one of, if not, the best game in the 2025 playoffs. And to be part of it is why I Love Me Some Ducks!

I tend to agree that long drives against TT could rely on establishing a consistent, early down run game that make Dante’s 3rd or 4th down passes shorter, and inside the 1.5 second window.
