December 30, 2025Dec 30 Administrator No. We need to win these, but depending on Lincoln Riley? Mr. FishDuck
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. Illinois 17, Tennessee 14.This is a big game for bragging rights between the two conferences. They both have the same record of 8-4.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. Oof, Illinois special teams disaster. Gave up a punt return for a TD to give the lead to Tennessee.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Author Administrator No. Illinois wins 30-28 on a walk-off field goal! So WHERE is that SEC depth? Both teams were 8-4 going into this, and a superb Big-10 win. Tough in the trenches! Mr. FishDuck
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. Illini Win! Down goes the SEC to the B1G!Honestly without the optouts Tennessee is the better team, but their coach was crap. ILLINI played 3DBs 15 yards or more back from scrimmage and Tennessee kept trying to pass until deep into the 3rd quarter. THEN they started running the ball and came back.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. Do I really have to root for SC? Maybe letting the Big 12 have one wouldn't be too bad.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. Now USC needs to not pull a Tennessee against TCU. Their two star WRs opted out.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. The Alamo Bowl crowd is looking kind of sparse. I’ve been to a couple of these games and it’s always been packed. Especially with the USAF basic trainees taking up a section or two. I always thought this was one of the better non-BCS bowl games.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. Condoms struggling hard against TCU. How the heck are they the 16th ranked team?
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. Yet they spent the whole season ranked and propping up other SEC teams as a “top 25 win”.

December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. The SEC is now 2-5 in bowl games. Even better that they have only 1 win over a Power 4 team and that was against another SEC team (Alabama vs. Oklahoma).
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. USC QB Mavia not having his best game, is saved by his receiver making a circus catch. USC goes ahead with a 2-point extra. Edited December 31, 2025Dec 31 by Grandpa Duck Spelling
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. If a team blows the B1G perfect record in bowls sUc was definitely my vote 😄
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. You can add TCU to SUC’s we’re not gonna play you anymore list.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. Well, I expect they'll want to avoid T teams in bowl games after: Texas, Tulane, TCU, Tech(Georgia) in recent years.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. Leave it to Riley to be the sole blemish on the B1G. Just think how scary USC would be with Whit in charge.

December 31, 2025Dec 31 No. My #1 rule for analyzing bowl games:“Never analyze bowl games.”Only place to draw conclusions re: the greatest Conference debate is the CFP. Only those teams are fully staffed with players and coaches that are all motivated to win.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Moderator No. Several old USuC all star players like Su'a Cravens and LenDale White called out LR and the defense after that horrible showing. They used less than genteel language pointing out that there are two sides to the ball and that former players should be on the coaching staff to teach the D how to tackle and act like Trojenz.TCU was led by their backup QB, a redshirt senior that hadn't started a game in two years. He still outclassed the U$C defense who time and again blew assignments and exhibited a lack of gap discipline and crappy tacklingThe apologists pointed out that WRs Lemon and Lane opted out of the game. Welcome to Oregon's world, losing your two best receivers at a critical point. One backup WR, Hines, played well as did walk-on RB Miller. Good luck, Lincoln, getting those kids to stay and not bail to the portal. If the B1G had to drop a bowl game, I'm personally happy it was the Boyz of Troyz. My only concern is that the powers that be in La La Land will cough up the big bucks to buy out Stinkin' Lincoln's contract after 2026 and bring in a new coach. One that excels at SoCal recruiting and player retention and understands that de-fence (sic) is not just something you build around your Beverly Hills crib to keep the riff-raff out.
