Honestly without the optouts Tennessee is the better team, but their coach was crap. ILLINI played 3DBs 15 yards or more back from scrimmage and Tennessee kept trying to pass until deep into the 3rd quarter. THEN they started running the ball and came back.

Do I really have to root for SC? Maybe letting the Big 12 have one wouldn't be too bad.

The Alamo Bowl crowd is looking kind of sparse. I’ve been to a couple of these games and it’s always been packed. Especially with the USAF basic trainees taking up a section or two. I always thought this was one of the better non-BCS bowl games.

I still think SUC will be the team, in the B1G, to lose.

The SEC is now 2-5 in bowl games. Even better that they have only 1 win over a Power 4 team and that was against another SEC team (Alabama vs. Oklahoma).

Well, I expect they'll want to avoid T teams in bowl games after: Texas, Tulane, TCU, Tech(Georgia) in recent years.
