Posted October 26, 20222 yr Moderator Oregon continues to reel in offensive linemen in 2023. It's no secret offensive line is position of need for the ducks. https://www.heraldonline.com/sports/college/article267884112.html#storylink=rss
October 26, 20222 yr Huh. Offered by Oregon and New Mexico State. New definition of the term "sleeper"...
October 26, 20222 yr Administrator Unrated by Rivals, and no other offer listed by them. (I don't doubt the New Mexico offer on another site) On3 says he is 6'6" and 330 lbs. Three years to play two and is a redshirt candidate, when he gets here to further develop his raw abilities. Mr. FishDuck
October 26, 20222 yr Coach has confidence in his process. They not only bring in talented guys, but solid character, hard working guys. Coachable guys. These are the best kind. I believe we will get our blue-chip studs too, but like the man says, can't teach 6'6 and 330!!
October 26, 20222 yr Also, is the Texas O-line earning the $50k each was promised? Seems like the schools handing out cash (see aTm and UT and Miami to name a few) are not doing so well. I'll take the hard working coachable guys any day.. Plus,, seems to me Klemm and Co. have improved our O-line. I'm trusting their evaluation skills until proven otherwise.
October 26, 20222 yr It looks like Steven Jones may be back now. Plus we will have JPJ, Jaramillo, Harper and Conerly with significant snaps this year. The Laloulu brothers, Bailey Jaramillo, Bram Walden, Michael Wooten plus Silva, and Baker round out two-deep. Most of those guys will have playing experience and/or two offseasons with Klemm. I think we will be solid on the line next year. But they need some bigtime guys in 2024 class for sure. Plus, who knows what the Portal may bring......likely a couple of additions over the next 2-3 months.
October 26, 20222 yr Administrator I would like to think that an OL "flip" from someone else is quite possible between what we show on offense, and the opportunity. Mr. FishDuck
October 26, 20222 yr Moderator I like his quick feet, long arms, good hand fighting. In the first video clip he used quick feet and lower body to shield a fast pass rusher from the QB. He brought his arms up high where some linemen would have grabbed the defender getting a holding call. Like someone earlier said, "You can't coach big." I like this guy. Welcome to the University of Oregon George!

October 26, 20222 yr I believe he is rather new to football. For his junior year MaxPreps only lists him playing basketball and his stats were pretty bad. He certainly wouldn't be the first kid that took some time for coordination to catch up with physical size.

October 26, 20222 yr I expect they will hit the transfer portal hard for a few more offensive lineman.

October 27, 20222 yr Administrator Cole Martin is the son of Oregon corner coach Demetrious Martin. Doubt it. Mr. FishDuck
