January 15, 20232 yr Good for Cam. He has given a lot to Oregon, I wish him only the best. He has 2 degrees and been here for like 7 years! It's time to move on. I just hope he stays healthy.
January 16, 20232 yr 'Once a Duck, Always a Duck' is an axiom that can test your resolve from time to time.
January 16, 20232 yr This makes a lot of sense in some ways... Cam knows the staff and is going somewhere sunny and warm to play his final years. Say what you will about Cristobal but he did stick with Cam through years of injuries. Cam has too much history of injury to get to the NFL no matter how much he sees the field in his last two years. We won't play him, barring any sort of bowl game, so I just wish him the best.
January 16, 20232 yr I'm not seeing the NFL in his future. But, can he get a doctorate while enjoying the sun soaked beaches of Florida? 2 years and another degree ain't so bad right? Good for you Cam
January 16, 20232 yr Moderator As much as I’ll miss knowing he’s on the team, I have to admit I admire the possibility of a ‘giving back’ by Cam in his choice to play for the coach who stuck by him. It’s a feel good ending for a guy who knows what it means to never give up. And anyway, there’s a touch of familiarity for Cam in getting to segue from the Oregon Duck to Miami’s sort of whatever it is kind of looks like a Duck? Nothing but the best pal!
January 16, 20232 yr I hope Cam surprises some people while down at South Beach. The young man deserves some luck and maybe the warm weather will help. I will be rooting for him to make all conference, and move on to the NFL!
