2026 Football Schedule
No idea, Lonnie. The B1G has delayed the release of the game dates. Perhaps as part of the all-sports scheduling review, designed, in part, to cut down on travel. I have zero inside information, but it would not surprise me to see adjustments to the permanent opponents list, with the Pac-12 legacy schools playing one another every season. A change in permanent opponents would mean a change in next season's schedule and the other schedules that run through 2028. In 2026, OBD is scheduled to make two trips to the Eastern time zone to play Ohio State and Michigan State, and a trip to the Central time zone to play Illinois. USC's 2026 schedule seems designed to give Troy an excuse to kiss Notre Dame goodbye. Three trips to the Eastern time zone to play Indiana, Penn State, and Rutgers, plus a trip to Wisconsin. I'm waiting for the game dates to be revealed to see if OBD has another Minnesota situation, a Saturday game two or more time zones away from Eugene, followed by a Friday night home game vs. a team with the prior Saturday off. I can find no CFB site with information on when the game dates will be released.

I can see who we play next year, But does anyone know when the Big will come out with dates for the 2026 games?

Dan Lanning Approaching Key Coaching Milestone
Fun fact: Oregon has a long history of coaches lasting well beyond five seasons and has had some of the longest tenures across multiple PAC eras and the B1G. Pretty sure this is an editing hiccup, not a history lesson.

Pavia Proves he Didn't Deserve the Heisman
Really a poor performance on his part. BTW just how tall is this guy? His bio with Vandy says six foot but I say no way. My guess is 5 foot 9 inches at best. Good luck in the NFL Draft.

B1G Bowls - A B1G Bowling Trophy Repeat?
I think the analytics should change for the playoff bowls. Wins should count double since everyone except the National Champs will have an L. So, a win followed by a loss means a .500 record. Whereas ewe dub earned a 1000 record. Too bad the SEedingChumps can lose them all since there is an SEC matchup so one team has to get a W.

Some people just get stuck in the “Hippie phase”. Oregon’s campus had a fair number of these guys in the seventies. However, I am pretty sure some definitely took acid.

Ho-Ho! OBD Forum Members Are Receiving Some Early Christmas Presents?
I noticed the emoticon change yesterday. Like you indicated, it was a little thing, but very nice. The other change is also appreciated. And it's so nice to be able to make a quick edit (usually a grammatical correction for me) within an hour of posting... let alone, delete a duplicate.

B1G Bowls - A B1G Bowling Trophy Repeat?
I would watch a second tier football playoff type format (NIT invitational comes to mind) that replaces meaningless bowl games. A problem with an Invitational is obviously injury risk, and opt outs. However, media revenue drives the bus for college sports. Would people watch a 16 team CFP, and 16 team NCAA Invitational?

B1G Bowls - A B1G Bowling Trophy Repeat?
JJ, thanks, for the bowl and CFP rundown. It will be interesting to see if the BIG can dominate the bowl scene. Or is the BIG overrated? Or is the,SEC overrated? My New Years wish is for an OBD's vs IU and Georgia vs tOSU semi-final contest. Go Ducks....

Washington Does NOT Embarrass the B1G, Beating Boise State 38-10
Boise State still hasn’t defeated a Power Four program since beating Florida State in the 2019 season opener. At the end of that 2019 campaign, BSU played Washington in the Las Vegas Bowl, losing 38-7. Recent P4 history: 36-31 at Florida State 7-38 vs Washington in Vegas 20-21 Oklahoma St 17-34 at Oregon St 19-56 at Washington 34-37 at Oregon 14-31 vs Penn St in Glendale 7-28 at Notre Dame 10-38 vs Washington in L.A. During that period, BSU did split games with BYU (when non-Power 4 conference), and beat WSU and OSU both in 2024 season when they were not Power 4 members either.

Leg-Lifter Fan Questions Why Coach Lanning Is Still In Eugene
That’s because it takes a different skill set to succeed in college vs. the NFL. In college, you have to recruit and motivate 18-22 year old kids. The NFL is much more balanced talent wise so coaching and Xs and Os becomes much more important. Grown men getting paid millions and millions of dollars don’t respond to the rah rah.

Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
I don’t think this is guaranteed. Once scouts see Dante Moore throw in pro day and individual workouts they may reassess. No one in college football throws a prettier ball than Dante Moore. He can make all of the NFL throws. I haven’t been as impressed by Mendoza’s arm talent. Dante’s highlights are light years ahead of Mendoza’s (no one threw a better ball than that dime Dante hit against Iowa). The NFL drafts bad on potential.

Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
$5-10M is not generational wealth for a 20 year old. It’s enough to retire on and lead a comfortable life, if you invest it wisely and don’t spend it foolishly. $50M is generational wealth.
