  3. Recruiting the state of Alabama helps the Ducks. Oregon Ducks On SIOregon Commit Cameron Pritchett Reveals Ducks' Recruiting...The No. 6 Oregon Ducks have a top-10 2026 recruitment class according to 247 Sports, but coach Dan Lanning and staff aren't done recruiting high-level players f

  5. Decided to further add: Leaving out JCs, OL recruits inside the top 500 over the same period: Alex Forsyth #461 Penei Sewell #53 Steven Jones #246 Dawson Jaramillo #252 Jonah Tuaunu'u #69 Jonathan Denis #303 Kingsly Suamataia #32 Bram Walden #66 JPJ #183 Josh Conerly #8 David Luli #191 Gernorris Wilson #388 Iapani Laloulu #347 Shaq McRoy #95 Fox Crader #247 Devin Brooks #443 Ziyare Addison #102 Zac Stascausky #154 Douglas Utu #161 Leaving out TF and DM from the first group and FC, DB, ZA, ZS, and DU from the second group (too soon to tell), roughly the "pan out" rate of each group is: Inside the top 500: 9/14 = 64% Outside top 500: 1/16 = 6%
  6. I think its less about four stars and more about the numbers of "developmental" mid to lower three stars filling these bigger classes. #603 Logan Bathke #571 Jacob Capra #1538 Sam Poutasi #941 Cody Shear #822 Christopher Randazzo #903 Justin Johnson #611 Loga Sagapolu #529 Jaylan Jeffers #801 Faaope Laloulu #714 Marcus Harper #804 Jaylen Smith #600 Michael Wooten #524 Jonah Miller #818 Kawika Rogers #1000 Bruce Boulton #796 Lipe Moala #954 Trent Ferguson #503 Demetri Manning Here is a list of the mid to lower three stars brought in on the OL this last decade (#500 or lower nationally). Harper turned out to be ok and Ferguson and Manning still may turn out to be playable; but, this isn't exactly a strong list supporting investing a lot in "developmental" guys. Save the years of resources to hopefully have a hit on a lower rated guy and instead get an experienced fully developed guy for a year (or two). No one listed performed at the level of Pregnon. Harkey moved to RG for a number of snaps against Rutgers and I think the spot on the OL that has been graded as most problematic this year looked much more solid. I think DL already is ahead of the curve on how it is dividing up its resources. There will obviously still be a fewer lower ranked guys the staff likes; but, by and large, I think using the portal will be viewed as both less risky and and more "resource efficient" as long as most of the current rules remain in place.
  7. Terrell Pryor played at 6'6/230ish. Akili Smith Sr was 6'3/220... This could be interesting if his baseline skills are as good or better than his Dad...
  8. Nice write up from The Athletic (did not require a subscription to read) about Gabriel's journey to the NFL and what drives him to be great. Brown's Dillon Gabriel doesn't care what you think. His focus is on proving himself. (I followed the tutorial for posting articles, but it did not create an article box)
  9. Oregon 35 - 7 2 - t/o 3 - Saks 217 yds pasd
  10. Oregon 53-0 3 take aways 3 sacks 242 passing yds
  11. He makes Moore look small. Moore isn't the most build quarterback but he doesn't normally look that small.
  12. ducks 56-13 3to 4 sacks 354 passing here's to explosive plays!
  13. Looking more like his Daddy all the time... guys that size have hurt the Ducks on multiple occasions (tOSU circa 2010 Terrell Pryor/2015 Cardale Jones)
  14. Looks like a well maintained scenic forest byway...

  16. From an On3 analyst about Braylon Hodge... "Braylon Hodge was a big upwards mover in our September Rivals300 update. After going through his early senior film, it's easy to see why Oregon and other programs made him a priority this fall. Hodge plays fast and shows the speed to run sideline to sideline. He triggers quickly and looks to have quality instincts. He's a physical striker and brings some pop at the point of attack, which is obviously key for LB prospects. Looks pretty comfortable playing in space. Overall, it's easy to see him as a good fit in Dan Lanning's defense. Added bonus that he's from the West region and ranks as Rivals' top LB out West."
  17. This season has already brought so much joy, and surprise I’m already over my own “Hoosier hangover”. These coaches know how to recruit kids that “want to be great” every coach says that, but the proof is in the rep count on Saturdays. These players want to be coached hard because they know it is being done with a level of actual love. Weird when you think about it. This symbiotic coach/player relationship that has so many father/son parallels. This is what drives recruiting. The word of mouth from players about the reality of love/development that they get. The bells and whistles of facilities and uniforms and Nike are great don’t get me wrong, but football has always been, and will always be, a people/relationship business. GO DUCKS!!!
  18. With a full redshirt season monitoring his nutrition, and strength, he will be a beast by the time his turn arrives. Jr. also has some good size hands at 9.75 inches. Pretty sure that is tip of thumb to tip of pinky. QBs his size can shed a fair number of sack attempts if they have good balance and foot work.
  19. I could see a scenario where Novosad, and Moga, transfer which would leave Moore, Smith jr, Thomas, and Beavers for next years roster.
  20. Sure hope he develops and we get to see him play for a couple/three years.
  21. Check these highlights, as this is looking even more promising...(only 30 seconds)
