  2. Solar, You have some very good takes, and they're always in the back of my mind. You painted out that Moore has trouble reading zone coverage, and I believe that has played out to form in key situations. Indiana uses zone blitzes (weren't you the one that pointed that out?), and Moore needs to "catch em in the act". I found a great YouTube vid that opened my eyes. If Moore see it, he can literally rip the Hoosiers apart. I think Stein saw that the first time, but Dante just missed it. I'm wondering what Indiana changes, and what kind of prep Moore got this week... As usual, in looking forward to your comments about this game.
  3. Miami is a 3.5 favorite. Who you got? I'm hoping to imbibe a postgame Hotty Toddy. 😁 ESPN.comThompson: 'What if we are the people who win these games?...After a chaotic month, Ole Miss won the kind of game it always loses, leaving its fans wondering how far it can go.
  4. Thank you Jay Harris for your honoring commitment to your team! I hope you get some good runs and blocks in this game to increase your value in the portal. Oregon, give this kid a raise and an opportunity to stay next yr if he chooses. Go Ducks, I think we can beat them! Jayden Limar, thanks for what you have given these years and good luck. Maybe Lane Kiffin will take you on his scout team.
  5. Our new OC is always up in the box and wired directly to Stein and Lanning. I wouldn't mind if Lanning allows him to assert himself at times for critical plays. Dante is a heck of a ballplayer. If he can keep his eyes up and see the coverage properly AFTER the snap, a huge if, we have a decent chance at winning here.
  6. For those who believe Williams' conduct is righteous. Every FBS coaching contract has a liquidated damages clause, and they are uniformly honored and enforced. The agreement Williams signed included a waiver of his right to transfer. I imagine UW and his agent did not expect Williams to dishonor his agreement. Liquidated damages are likely to be included in the new template and will be enforced. Damages? If someone on behalf of LSU improperly contacted Williams, Interference with a Contract should be very easy to prove. NIL deals in support of this poaching would be revealed in discovery, and ipso facto damages will accompany the disclosures. There is a much larger issue. If the Big Ten-approved revenue share agreements are not enforceable, chaos becomes catastrophic chaos. QB hurt during the season, just go buy one from a competitor. To hell with any revenue-sharing agreement the injury-free QB may have with his existing team. To hell with the QB having any responsibility to his teammates. To hell with any concern for the integrity of the game. For goodness' sakes! Williams isn't trying to get out of a deal for a stipend, room, board, and tuition. Williams and his advisers, one of whom has quit in disgust and to avoid financial damages and damage to the Wasserman Group's reputation, agreed to a deal estimated to be between $3 and $4 million dollars. If this BS falls in the lap of LSU and Kiffin, I see the workings of fate and pefect karma.
  7. He's the closest runner we have to Davison since the beginning of the season. Not nearly as much wiggle, but he has the size and speed. He should do a commendable job replacing Davison in 2 RB sets, pass blocking and bruising runs up the middle. This is probably his last chance to play in a game of national significance. He could play out of his mind increasing his NIL/portal stockon the biggest stage. It's like Lanning says, any given week someone new will show up. Let's hope it is Harris. Lanning isn't saying why he made this exception for Harris to play despite being in the portal. I assume he saw the need was significant and Harris is a fellow Show Me State individual with good intentions who could potentially be the difference maker in this game. I just saw Whittington is from Georgia, so he is excited about playing in front his hometown. I really hope he plays out of his mind too. He's done it before and been unstoppable as a runner and receiver.
  8. Oregon 34-27 2 take aways 4 sacks 286 passing yards
  9. If Oregon is going to win we need to hold IU under 20 and Dan needs to kick a field goal on every 4th down in Automaticus' range Oregon wins 19 (4 FGs 1 TD) - 17 2 TOs 2 Sacks 234 yards passing.
  10. Without the inclusion of Mike West's prediction, this is Quacked Up! 🙃 https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/01/08/oregon-football-indiana-hoosiers-national-expert-predictions-cfp/88069239007/?utm_source=smg-duckswire-strada&utm_medium=
  11. Oregon 23 - Indiana 20 2 TO 2 Sacks 280 Passing Yards
  12. How would one calculate the damages? If Williams goes to another school, the Fuskies will still field a team with a capable QB. Let's assume they go 8-4. Is the argument that they would be 11-1 with Williams? How would one prove that? And how would one determine the value of winning those extra three games.? That would be the difference in a college football playoff selection, but how far would the Fuskies go without Williams compared with Williams? What about donations to the athletic department, merchandise sales, etc. which would likely go down if the Fuskies are not as successful. But how do you tie any reduced revenue to Williams not being the QB? It seems to me that there is a damages calculation problem with any lawsuit (and if the contract has a liquidated damages clause, those or disfavored by courts).
  13. As I posted on the initial thread regarding Williams' attempted transfer, and as reported by On3, Williams' agent has dropped him as a client. If Williams disregarded his commitment as a result of being contacted by Kiffin and LSU, UW, the B1G, and the NCAA at Tony Petitti's request, if the organization does not have the guts to do so directly, should all go after Kiffin and 'pariah program' LSU for impermissible contact and interference with a contract. The SEC should also go after Kiffin and LSU, but good luck with that. In this case only, I will be rooting for UW. The House settlement was flawed from the start. Many of the entities backing the settlement had no interest in abiding by the terms of the settlement. Many NIL agreements are not being submitted for review and the review entity has no right of enforcement. The idea that revenue sharing would be the ceiling for payment to athletes without viable enforcement in place was absurd. Williams' agent, who resigned, is employed by the Wasserman Group. Founder Casey Wasserman is one of UCLA's biggest boosters and understandably wants nothing to do with this chicanery. On3College sports have major problems — here are viable solu...College sports are facing a multitude of problems. Here are viable solutions to fix the chaos off the field as the sport explodes on the field. As noted in the above article, many of the 68 programs that backed the House Settlement have refused to support the Settlement's enforcement provisions. Is Atlas ready to shrug?

  15. I think this is what happened with the defense versus TT as well. Does CDL have the offensive chops to help Stein? Does the next OC get to call some of the game since his mind might work different? Will OBD let everything hang out and just go for it? Controlled of course, but there is no such thing as holding anything close to the vest now. Indiana is too good to try and keep anything in reserve for the Ship game (if OBD can make it there). This is going to be a such a chess match!

  19. Oregon great George Wrightster (GW) has an interesting take from a parent of a player looking to transfer in search of more playing time. While the headliners get all of the attention, GW said that it’s hard for players without a lot of playing time to transfer because they don’t have game tape. It’s easier for blue chip players, who have relationships with other coaches from their recruitment to get another opportunity. Obviously it’s easier if you go down to a lessor school or level.
  20. I remember a few years back at the dawn of NIL, and some of the predictions we were all making about how potentially crazy it could/would get. Well... it's way worse than the predictions I remember.

  24. When your agent jumps ship ... ☹️ At least one person is concerned about damages from a civil case and damages to his professional reputation. The Wasserman Group, for which the agent works, was founded by UCLA booster Casey Wasserman. Understandably, Casey wants nothing to do with this XXX🤬. On3Demond Williams' agent makes stunning turn amid transfer....
  25. Oregon finally plays four excellent quarters on both sides of the ball. OBD 34 - 28 1 2 271
  26. You are not pouring rain in the parade at all. Breaking that trend is paramount. It totally has to happen. And it will occur while losing two coordinators. It's like climbing Spencer's Butte having to carry both of them. I'm imagining that round table from the Ohio State "Ducks versus Then" take when Lanning was specifically pointing out what to do and when to do it and who to use. That's what I'm seeing myself, and if there's one thing I know about Lanning, it's that he knows the game. I believe Lanning is going to be more directly involved in this game, because he needs to be. That is going to be a factor tomorrow.
