  2. This off-season feels different than previous years under Head Coach Dan Lanning. For the last three seasons, rematches have kept Lanning and the Ducks from a shot at their ultimate goal, and in the little media availability Lanning has had since Oregon’s loss to Indiana, it is clear Lanning is making some changes. Our Mr. FishDuck took a pause from ... Read More Source Read the full article here...
  3. Indiana is the No. 1 portal picking team and is bringing in a solid class of recruits.
  4. Ducks 9-1 with the chance to take down the preseason favorite Ohio State in Columbus. Ducks fans will be flocking to the 2026-27 champ game in Las Vegas.😁 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/2026-cfp-national-championship-odds-ohio-state-notre-dame/
  5. Oregon playing its best game could have beaten either of those teams. Something to be said for a team that plays well together. Playing as a team is more important that the number of individual stars. Miami had it at the end with plenty of time but they blew it. Indiana is really good at going after the ball on defense. Indiana earned it by being the most complete team all season long.
  6. Derrick Harmon, Bear Alexander, Jordan Burch at the top because D linemen are hard to find. What would Oregon be like those seasons without them? Answer: not as good Below that, I go with Bo Nix and Tez Johnson due to production. I rate Bo Nix to be the best QB to play at Oregon.
  7. Oregon needs to get him. He is worth the cost. Offensive linemen can be moved around. And he doesn't need to start this year. The Oregon pass protection was not as good as last year, so it seemed. Here is a good question to fellow forum people: If Ducks get him, on average, how many more points a game does Oregon score? Another question: If Ducks get him, on average, how many fewer hits on the QB happen per game? When you look at it that way, it starts to make sense.
  8. It's truly amazing. Obviously, great coaching, but I wonder if this was a two-year lightning in a bottle or if Indiana's ability to attract higher-ranked players in the portal will make them even better going forward?
  9. Informative article, particularly for those who consistently geek out on recruiting rankings. When I saws the title of this thread, I thought this was going to be an assessment of transfer additions who have proved most meaningful to the team ON THE FIELD during the Lanning era. My guess for number 1 (given my assumption) was incontestable I thought: Bo Nix followed perhaps by Tez Johnson. I don't mean to be difficult here, but in my world , rankings based on...others' rankings, are next to worthless. Let's evaluate the transfers based on actual contributions to the team made between the lines.
  10. They were the exception not the rule. I surmise it will not be as smooth for them next season as their 5th and 6th year senior starters age out.
  11. Zip, nada, nyet, nulla. Indiana is the 1st team in CFB to win a BCS or Playoff title without fielding a Blue Chip Roster. Just adds to the glory of a CFB fiction-like story.
  12. I CAN HEAR THE DRUMS, FERNANDO! Hats off to the Hoosiers, Cig, Fernando, and whoever is writing CFB fiction in the home of the football gods. And Forum Friend, Doctor J, you almost nailed it. 3-peat - Stop treating the middle of the SEC like show dogs and the middle of the B1G like dog meat. OK, the final act in terrific OBD seasons was not Ducky, but OBD did lose to the College Football Champions, again. 🤬 Now, make sure that next season, The Trophy does not stay in Vegas, but heads to Eugene instead. From the losingest team in CFB to a title in two seasons! 16-0 - Move over, Yale.
  13. Why don’t YOU look it up, and let us know?
  14. Just curious how many five star players are on Indiana's national title team.
  15. Jamari Sharpe, nephew of Miami Hurricane Glenn Sharpe, with the game-sealing interception.
  16. Impressive and gutsy performance. Congratulations to the Hoosiers. This year they have literally created football history. Mendoza demonstrated why he deserved the Heisman.
  17. I really thought Miami would get blown out. Congratulations Indiana.
  18. 342 yds Miami vs 317 Indiana Indiana blocks a punt for a TD. At the end, wins by six.
  19. The fighting Mario's found a way!
  20. Haha. Live by the Beck, die by the Beck.
  21. So glad Mario didn't win one in Miami! Can't stand the guy after he lied to the team!
  22. Delay on the first play I wish I hadn't seen that before.
  23. I think Beck throws a pick here.
  24. Mario getting a delay of game. Classic 😂
