  2. It certainly helps when you have a major talent upgrade in the players around the QB. I think Stein and the program certainly do a good job developing QBs, but if you look at Gabriel he pretty much had the same type of season, difference in record was simply playing for a team with a better defense. Nix and Moore had substantial upgrades in the guys around them. I think they certainly improved their own skills while here, but it's hard to not notice how many more weapons and protection they have compared to their former teams. I'm hopeful that our next QB will be one of the guys who we recruited out of high school, it would be good to see we can develop guys from their freshman year to when they begin to start.
  3. I honestly don't think this really means anything. I doubt a players would be talking about how eager they are leave college for the pros at this point in the year. Most players in this situation would say something similar, doesn't mean that he isn't being honest, just means it's way too early to be making predictions on if he will leave or not. I don't think anyone can make predictions in this new age of NIL, it's way too complicated now.
  4. Awesome, I see the injury bug has returned to Oregon basketball, I guess hoping for more than 1 year of injury free basketball was too much to ask.

  7. This just leave no doubt that Will Stein is a high level QB developer and his offense works tremendously well for players with variable skillsets.
  8. It would be kinda nice to know which hand was broken. I don't see that info in this linked story or in Aaron Fentress' story on OregonLive. I guess I'll wait to see a photo of Shelstad post injury.
  9. , . . . the thread titled "2025 B1G Info, Predictions, Etc." has an article about the progression of Nix, Gabriel and Moore while at OBD, written by Sports Illustrated's Lily Crane titled "How Dan Lanning's Transformed Several Transfer Quarterbacks' NFL Trajectory". Well worth your time to find and read. Here's a small sample of what Ms. Crane had to say: Bo Nix Season Before Oregon: 61 percent completion, 2,294 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, three interceptions, 12 sacks, 57 carries, 168 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 6-7 record\ Final Season At Oregon: 77.4 percent completion, 4,508 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, three interceptions, five sacks, 54 carries, 234 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, 12-2 record Dillon GabrielSeason Before Oregon: 69.3 percent completion, 3,660 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns , six interceptions, 17 sacks, 93 carries, 373 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 10-3 record Final Season At Oregon: 72.9 percent completion, 3,857 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 21 sacks, 75 carries, 149 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, 13-1 record Dante MooreSeason Before Oregon: 53.5 percent completion, 1,610 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 25 sacks, 45 carries, -84 rushing yards, 0 rushing touchdowns, 5-4 record Oregon Ducks (2025; five games): 74.6 percent completion, 1,210 passing yards, 14 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 1 sack, 24 carries, 122 rushing yards, 0 rushing touchdowns, 5-0 record

  12. Bye week means golf, a couple cocktails, and hopefully buying lunch for my golf buddies, with their money.
  13. The video crew compiles a lot of great content. Love all the games you mention. One of my favorite scenes from the series is from the Texas Tech game. Bassa’s interception of Shough in slow motion, accompanied with the country song “Silver Wings”, our sideline erupting, and then the home crowds reaction. Perfection.

  17. This year's first bye feels better than last year's. Last year the bye was earlier though came at the right time to help sort out the offensive line. This year everyone feels healthy and it's a rest up and keep working week. Feeling good about next Saturday at the moment.

  20. Reining In NIL, Maybe? Schools can no longer guarantee 3rd party collective NIL deals.
