  2. Oregon Sideline Reporter Dusty Harrah joins the Oregon Postgame Scoreboard show to talk about the Ducks dominant win over the Montana State Bobcats.
  3. The Ducks were in full pads Tuesday as they prepare to host Oklahoma State on Saturday. The Oregon football team was in full pads Tuesday, one of the team's most physical practices of this week as the Ducks prepare to host Oklahoma State on Saturday (12:30 p.m., CBS). Following Tuesday's practice, local media met with quarterback Dante Moore, offensive lineman Alex Harkey and defensive backs Aaron Flowers. Video of those interviews is embedded below. University of Oregon AthleticsFootball Practice Report: Sept. 2 - University of Oregon...The Ducks were in full pads Tuesday as they prepare to host Oklahoma State on Saturday.
  4. I think we’ll get an idea about a few of these teams after week 3. LSU is going to be tested against Florida and I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose. Miami has USF, Clemson has Ga. Tech and Notre Dame has A&M. Those should all be good tests.
  5. I don’t think it’s a good look to the team when the coach starts making excuses for the loss before the game is even played.
  6. I've debated the importance of polls in my head. If the polls were eliminated I wonder how we would get a top 25 or more importantly top 12 when it comes time to seed the playoffs. For example how would we pick the number three or four teams from the multi bid leagues?
  7. Today
  8. Other thoughts... I think LSU is too high they get a lot of credit for beating Clemson but I think Clemson was overrated as it was as well. Miami and Notre Dame both have lots of talent and are certainly top 15 teams but not so sure on top 10. Granted... I don't think there are many true top 10 teams right now. We are still quite early in the whole process.
  9. Benson certainly could be a huge wild card, that might pay unexpected dividends this year (and possibly even next if he gets his second JUCO season back). Lily Crane even wrote an article for SI.com called: "Oregon Duck's Malik Benson: One of College Football's Most Overlooked Players?" For those unfamiliar, Benson played every game for two season for JUCO powerhouse Hutchinson CC in Kansas. He caught 97 passes for 2,152 yards and 21 TDs there, and emerged as the #1 overall JUCO recruit and a mid four star committing to Alabama. His first year there he played in all 14 games but only ended up with 13 catches for 162 yards and 1 TD in a role as sometimes WR3. He transferred to FSU, presumably looking for a bigger role, then hurt his foot in their Spring game. From there he played in all 12 games of FSU's unhappy 2-10 campaign. He was their second leading WR with 25 catches for 311 yards and 1 TD (with the highest per target success rate, second highest yards per target, and second highest explosiveness rate among their WRs). As Solar points out, he ran a blazing 10.4 in high school and I've found a couple places giving him praise for "polished route running". Other reports have used: "explosive", "a slippery open field runner", "good balance and the ability to break tackles", and "a special athlete with major big-play ability". His somewhat limited impact so far at the FBS level? Described as being behind Jermaine Burton (Cincinnati) and Isiah Bond (Cleveland) at Alabama (and possibly not the best fit for the offense Alabama was running for Milroe); and, just being caught up in everything going wrong at FSU. I also found one note from FSU in 2024 (for whatever it is worth), similar to what was sometimes expressed in regards to Evan Stewart last year, that he often appeared on film to break open in the deep field, but for whatever reason, seldom received a target.
  10. Alabama fans don't know how to cope with this Jon. They want DeBoer gone yesterday, he's turned the program into "Jello" apparently. They think he is gone if they don't make the playoffs and the replacement is going to be one of three guys. 1.) Kirby Smart 2.) Ryan Day 3.) Dan Lanning That's the list, DeBoer and his 60 million buyout means nothing to them. Not to mention the buyouts in those three guys own contracts.
  11. Personally, I don't think there is a clear No.1 just yet. There might not be a clear NO.1 for the entire season. Though I suppose Ohio State has the best win at the moment. We don't know how good or bad Ohio State and Texas are at this point but we do know they have talent. Oregon looked great and they played what looks like a good team in Montana State, however, they are not an FBS school though I am sure they could beat any of the FBS bottom feeders. We saw a MSU team that was pretty disciplined and well coached on the field but was greatly out classed in terms of talent. Oregon feels like a top 5 team but frankly it doesn't matter. Give all this enough time and it will work itself out.
  12. That was a very good Ducks team..I remember you guys and Butler giving us the hardest times during that two year run. Many forget that Donovan had a long stretch 2001-2005 where he couldn't get out of the first weekend.
  13. Let's just slap both sides of his mouth this Saturday on the field!
  14. Always good to see someone like Benson begin to shed his past struggles and turn the corner. He’s got the speed, but wait and see if he has Stewart’s strength and athleticism on the fly against elite corners.
  15. Yeah, and on top of that, he’s already dealing with one boob job — LB Wendell Gregory. Sour Grapes Dept. — all Gundy’s Duck Dough comment does is reveal his wistful envy for the same kind of source which dried up on him in 2023 when the Boone Pickens Foundation made its final donation. Nothing to back this up, but I’d guess Uncle Phil hasn’t quite arrived at the 650 Million given by Pickens to the AD. It’s estimated that his total gift to the university is over 1 Billion. Oklahoma State, OK - Mike Grundy, not so much
  16. Miami has a front loaded schedule with Florida, FSU and Louisville back to back to back (with a bye in between each one). However, they play six straight to end the season with road games at SMU, VA Tech and Pitt. There is ample opportunity for Mario to go off the rails this season.
  17. Dan Lanning expects Oklahoma State to test young secondary down the field Oregon coach Dan Lanning says the Cowboys take more deep shots than anybody "probably my time here". Slowing the Oklahoma State vertical pass attack will be key.
  18. The Oregon Ducks climbed to No. 6 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll released Tuesday morning following a 59-13 win over the Montana State Bobcats in Week 1. Next up for the Ducks is another non-conference home game against the 1-0 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oregon and Oklahoma State have only played once in the 2008 Holiday Bowl, a game the Ducks won 42-31 Ohio State (Defeated Texas 14-7) Penn State (Defeated Nevada 46-11) LSU (Defeated Clemson 17-10) Georgia (Defeated Marshall 45-7) Miami (Defeated Notre Dame 27-24) Oregon (Defeated Montana State 59-13) Texas (Lost to Ohio State 14-7) Clemson (Lost to LSU 17-10) Notre Dame (Lost to Miami 27-24) South Carolina (Defeated Virginia Tech 24-11) Oregon Climbs to No. 6 in AP Poll Following Win Over Montana State
  19. Those Bellichec memes were hysterical! Thanks for sharing. 🤣🤣
  20. I'm hopeful they choke against FSU and the Gators, too. I figured they would haven't have to take the steps and as anticipated, be given an elevator lift to a spot above OBD. If I am not mistaken, I think they went 3 and out on 4 or 5 straight possessions in the second half of that game against ND. Plus, I think ND was way overrated to start. They really struggled and Miami did beat them, but it was not an impressive win. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on Joe Moorehead going MIA in Palo Alto, and Mario's abrupt exit stage left.
  21. Coaches poll had Oregon at No. 5, so we had THREE B1G teams in the top five? Cool! (Paul isn't going to like that!)
  22. eh.. I do think Austin underthrew that ball to him. I need to see more to say I agree
  23. You’re right my bad. Still some what shocking that they didn’t vault into the top ten which is usually the reward for beating a top ten SEC team.
  24. Oregon moves into the Top 5 after release of the Week 2 Coaches Top 25 Poll Oregon will be ranked inside the Top 5 this week following an impressive week one win over Montana State1. Ohio State 2. Penn State 3. Georgia 4. LSU 5. Oregon 6. Texas 7. Miami 8. Clemson 9. Notre Dame 10. Arizona State
  25. Miami - No. 5 - Nice win over ND, but - 9/11/21 - OBD 35 - Ohio State 28 Including putting Joe Moorhead in the hospital, and a choke job at ASU, Mario failed to put the icing on what should have been a spot in the PO. Will we see a redux of a late 2024 Miami at Syracuse choke?
  26. They were unranked prior to Saturday's game. This is their debut in the poll.
  27. Washington is my #1. No DT should have that many tackles and that much time spent in the backfield. He wrecked the run game for the #1 rushing team in all of college football.
