  2. Kesean Bowman, a five-star 2027 receiver from Brentwood Academy, has decommitted from Oregon football, Bowman's mom, Moe, confirmed to The Tennessean. Bowman, who is being pursued by Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel, had been committed to the Ducks since July. Bowman, a 6-foot, 174-pound junior, was teammates at Brentwood Academy last season with former four-star quarterback and Tennessee freshman George MacIntyre. Bowman visited Knoxville for the Georgia game on Sept. 13 and told The Tennessean this week that he was planning other visits to Texas, LSU, Miami and Vanderbilt this fall. Bowman initially picked the Ducks over Tennessee, Ohio State and LSU. He is the No. 2 player in Tennessee from the 2027 class, No. 6 receiver nationally
  3. Two teams of interest to us OBD fans going at it on Fox Sports. 21-21 midway thru 2 qtrs. Neither team all that interested in playing defense and lots of PIs when they try. The Rutgers QB Kaliakmanis running a ton of RPO, pretty good arm and decent legs when he decides to take off. Iowa is still a variation of 4 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets on offense. Other than that, entertaining game. Mark Helfrich is doing the color analysis. Better OC than announcer, I'm afraid.
  4. I’m all for calling it the “War of Northern Aggression “ since Eugene is south of Corvallis.

  16. 42-17 Ducks 3 TO 3 Sacks 265 passing yards I think the starters get pulled earlier than normal because of the Penn St game on the road next week.
  17. A little BIG to fit on the bus....
  18. Ducks! 63-13 3 TO 5 sacks 273 passing yards
  19. Not the most attractive carving. I would have recommended something more like this…
  20. I always thought of the name as a play on the word “civil”. As in, we at times tolerate each other…no confederate flag involved. However, the fact that Oregon is known as the Beaver State should be the next thing cancelled.
  21. I've never stopped calling it the 'Civil War'. Always thought the reasons were ill advised, uninformed, and who cares anyway. We, as a country to easily overly politicize everything. Besides, it really is a 'civil" Civil War. As for Mr C, he has attached himself to a sinking ship (Pac(St)8) and desperately needs paid viewers. Of which I will never be one. Go Ducks! Put lil' bro in his place.
  22. I'll be honest... I was for changing the name away from Civil War. It's actually my second article on FishDuck. However, I did have the expectation that the game would be renamed and thus rebranded into something new. That was back in 2020 and there has been NO effort to rebrand this game. The teams are now in different conferences and the fans have moved on. There was a moment where this game could have been renamed and the fans would have gone a long with it in a year or so. Come on... Platypus Bowl with a trophy and throw in a bunch of new marketing around it. Fans would have disliked it at first but after a year or so would have been fine with it. Also... putting a trophy front and center in the rivalry would have made it very B1G (despite little brother not being a member). But nothing happened. So I went back to calling it the Civil War years ago. Calling it "Rivalry Game" or whatever has no character and it's frankly too clunky for any fan to adopt. One of those instances where basically anything would have been better than "Rivalry Game."
  23. Ducks 31-13 1 Turnover 1 Sack 203 Yards Passing Too much looking ahead and too much rest for regular starters makes this game uncomfortable.
