So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
This I a game we must win! If we can not beat Iowa, I find it unlikely we beat SC or Wash by enough to erase the stink. Hope Dak and Harkey are not hurt, but if so, we 'd still better win or we probably do not deserve being in playoff. Go Ducks!!!! Either we are real or we are not, not our fault the schedule is weak or Penn St quit, but the hand we are dealt. Beat Iowa in the miserable weather and our schedule looks a bit better and we might survive a rd loss to WA.

It's REAL: 'They Don't Know Us,'....Even NOW?
I live on the east coast in South Carolina. All week on local and national radio all I’ve heard is callers and hosts bashing the Ducks. I do not understand, other than the light schedule strength, why Lanning and this team get so little acclaim. Because of it I hope our Ducks overwhelm and dominate the Hawkeyes today, even adding style points. Go Ducks. Smash Iowa.

Other Week 11 Games Thoughts and Comments
Today, Bye the Way - 11 Texas, 12 Oklahoma, 13 Utah, 21 Michigan, 24 Pitt, 25 Tennessee - This should be a very short siege - No. 6 Ole Miss, even if old enough to have danced The Charleston, will conquer a Citadel, teleporting from Charleston to Oxford. Unless the Rebels come this close to Cougin' It at home again? Come On Bullseye! WOOF!

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
I watched the Indiana vs. Iowa game highlights this morning. Iowa's front 7 is fast and gets really skinny to get between the offensive linemen. We absolutely shouldn't be be handing the ball off to an RB on 3rd or 4th and short. I'm not feeling very good about our chances to put up points on offense unless Moore can get in a rhythm and pick apart their secondary to open up the box.

Other Week 11 Games Thoughts and Comments
Northwestern played a pretty close game for the first half. I was a hoping. The Ducks made their bed losing to Indiana at home so whatever the other teams do is what they do.

Tulane flew into Memphis and did not land with Grace. 38 to 32 in the Tiger's face. The Dukes of JMU loved this Green Wave BBQ, and a chance to light up an old Cig.

How Short is Dante's Leash Against Iowa?
Well, that could be good news. And clearly, I'm not investing enough time keeping up with OBD. I have to work on my game.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
It will be football weather day in Iowa City... a long and miserable football weather day. About 38° with the wind chill, and about 100% rain forecasted during the entire game. On the upside, wind will be fairly light. Iowa is good. This should be a relatively low scoring game... something in the low 20s or upper teens. I'm predicting a rather ugly grind of a game. He who has the fewer turnovers today, wins. Field position will be paramount.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
Reece Davis just alluded to Dak’s injury on CGD. This report has legs. I’m expecting the Harkey injury to be true as well.

It's REAL: 'They Don't Know Us,'....Even NOW?
Short addition: It is real though, but it's part of East coast - West Coast stuff about life in general. The east coast doesn't get the west coast and frankly the west coast does get the east coast and that's why they moved to the west coast. Hope you understand what I'm saying. Ad in that when the east coast thinks of the west coast 99% of the time they are thinking LA, ugh! The PNW is virtually non-existent.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
The Oregon injury report comes out at 10:30 (two hours before the game). No need to get too worked up until then as the rumors will fly in all directions until then. I expect a mix of truth and fiction in the rumor mill but who knows.

It's REAL: 'They Don't Know Us,'....Even NOW?
Here's the deal with me. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and I'm a VCU basketball fan. I also lived in Portland for several years, wish I had never left. As one of my Portland friends told me when we moved back east, "You'll be back, you're not one of them anymore." He was joking but there's also some truth in there. I am a strange critter in that I actually root for both of the Oregon power conference schools, I don't say that too loudly on this forum. I am sick over what has happened to the PAC and how OSU has born the brunt of that. Gradually I trended more toward the Duck, because I love how they do things without a box, not outside of the box but the box simply doesn't exist. So, I'm a Ducks fan for the past twenty or so years and will be the rest of my life. Here's my point. I'm also a VCU basketball fan and we don't have a football team, so I can be all in on the Ducks. When we VCU basketball fans talk football, we can't talk VCU football, so we talk about other teams and how we are fans of other teams. As far as I can tell of the several hundred fans on the RamNation forum, I'm the only Oregon Duck fan, but for those who follow college football with some knowledge of the game the Ducks are pretty well known and respected. It's the casual fan that formed their opinions decades ago and will never change them that really don't get what is going on in Eugene, Oregon right now. The ducks are a national power now, and they are here to stay. In a year or two Indiana will lose a coach, they will go back to being Indiana... 'nough said. But Oregon has gone through coaches and continued to improve, to innovate and build a solid program and a very solid athletic department overall. I believe Dan Lanning is here for a while, but if he left, we'd make another good hire and the program would continue to be a national power. We know something about that at VCU, where we go through bright young coaches and launch them on their careers elsewhere regularly, but we keep winning a lot of basketball games. We've come to believe it's as much VCU as it is the brought young coaches. Oregon is the same. Yes, the bright young coaches are great, but IT"S OREGON! Finally Oregon is at least on the verge of being a destination job. Why not? You can coach at a national power and live in Eugene. Who would want more?

Oregon Ducks On SIConfusion Surrounds Oregon Receiver Dakorien Moore’s StatusOregon Ducks receiver Dakorien Moore has quickly proven why he was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country. The former five-star freshman has emerg SI.com just reported that the DAK injury posting was taken down, so who knows. Nothing more yet on Harkey.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
Down field early, punish them for loading the box. Use Moore's mobility, move the pocket, roll out, half roll out, use the threat of him running without him necessarily looking to run. Save the cutesy stuff for the fourth quarter if everything else is not working. Too many of the cutesy plays have turned into wasted downs early in the game. We don't need wasted downs. A fast start would be wonderful, I'd love to see us up 14-0 after our first two possessions. Make them play from behind, change their game plan.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
Well, this is going around social media right now. Twitter is often times filled with a lot of fake BS. I can’t tell if it’s real because I don’t have a Scoop Duck account to confirm if Justin Hopkins really reported this. If true then it’s going to be a long day for the offense. It basically says that Dakorian Moore and Harkey are out and Sadiq and Davison are questionable. However, there is nothing on the injury report. I remember last season the news outlets jumped on the Jordan Burch injury fairly quickly. It’s addressed in this article as being rumors for now. We’ll see later on today. Autzen ZooOregon at Iowa gridiron clash, updates on weather, odds,...The line has stayed steady and the weather forecast has worsened for Oregon at Iowa while injury rumors are swirling.

Join Us! Discussion Thread of USC vs. Northwestern...
I enjoyed watching USC because they have skills players... and because Northwestern is as boring as a lame high school team. And as a side note, just seeing the nice so cal weather made me think how much our weather is going to suck until April. I miss the pac12. Oregon and Washington HAD to join the Big10 because there was no where else to go. I wonder if USC and UCLA are happy that they left the Pac12 and destroyed the conference? USC vs a team like Az St, or Wazzu would have been more entertaining than Northwestern. The better the Big10 conference, the better the recruiting goes for Oregon. Top players don't want to play in a bottom league.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
I have a feeling that Iowa will sell out to stop plays that they guess that Oregon is going to execute. So some misdirection will break that down. I hope the Ducks do not run a Mario style offense - pound it up the box and then have third and long all day long.

So What's the Offensive Game Plan Against Iowa?
Rumors swirling of as many as 4 guys out on offense Saturday, anyone else? I guess it has hit some of the bigger Duck forums, Scoop Duck, Ducks Rising (plus Reddit): "Dak is out, Harkey out , Davison will play and Sadiq is questionable. This is info from a insider forum"

Whew! Ducks Beat Rice 67-63...Barely
I will add, the team did perform better, Shelsted adds a lot to the team, and the offense will get better as they begin to play with each other more. Altman still is a great coach, and I expect him to continue his tradition of having his teams perform towards the end of the season. We have had games like this in the past, and we've also lost some stinkers, so it isn't like this is unheard of to struggle in the first couple games. It's a different type of team, we will defend better than some of the previous seasons, and I do think we will rebound better. I just wonder if we'll be able to score enough. Simpkins and Evans are the key to everything, they have to shoot better in order to open up the inside. Simpkins had a bad shooting night, but he's probably the one best suited to being an option to either get shots for Shelsted or providing a out ball to Shelsted or Bittle. Lindsey was terrible at the line, but looking at his past he has shown some ability to shoot from the outside, so there's some hope there. Simpkins was a 37 percent 3 point shooter last year, if he can just bump that up a little bit it would be big for us. Pryor will hustle, he'll defend, but he can't shoot, and I'm worried that will be a big downfall for us.
