I've never known the game as anything other than the civil war and never did see the connection to the carnage of 1861-1865. And truly, I know it is a rivalry game but if the 19th century civil war had been as one-sided as this year's game appears to be, it would have been over after the first battle of Bull Run (and there would have been no second).

Kesean Bowman, a five-star 2027 receiver from Brentwood Academy, has decommitted from Oregon football, Bowman's mom, Moe, confirmed to The Tennessean. Bowman, who is being pursued by Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel, had been committed to the Ducks since July. Bowman, a 6-foot, 174-pound junior, was teammates at Brentwood Academy last season with former four-star quarterback and Tennessee freshman George MacIntyre. Bowman visited Knoxville for the Georgia game on Sept. 13 and told The Tennessean this week that he was planning other visits to Texas, LSU, Miami and Vanderbilt this fall. Two teams of interest to us OBD fans going at it on Fox Sports. 21-21 midway thru 2 qtrs. Neither team all that interested in playing defense and lots of PIs when they try. The Rutgers QB Kaliakmanis running a ton of RPO, pretty good arm and decent legs when he decides to take off. Iowa is still a variation of 4 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets on offense. Other than that, entertaining game. Mark Helfrich is doing the color analysis. Better OC than announcer, I'm afraid.
